Wondering if the effects of your feat are restricted to melee only attacks? Like, if I take the piercing damage feat, does it also affect attacks with a bow?
Thanks for the clarification. Might want to rename the mod to Physical Specialization instead to make it clear it's not just for melee damage, but for all physical damage of a certain type.
This must be a BG3 rule departure from 5e for something like this to matter. If so, thank you for the feat. In 5e, if something has resistance to slashing, for example, its to mundane non-magical weapon damage. In fact, I do remember some mobs in the monster manual specifically having magical resistance to slashing, etc. to account for better resistances. If your weapon or unarmed attacks are magical, which by level 5 most everything is, then it bypasses this resistance. This is how all my friends have interpreted the rules and even how shows like Critical Role have also.
