the workaround from last patch that warak posted no longer works and instead produces a second gale floating in the void, i havent tested if this second gale is regular because honestly im not sure how to get them out of the void. its spooky
The confirm button not working in the mirror occurs regularly, not only with Gale pal. Usually this means one or other characteristic is not filled in. From my experience, the 2 that are most frequent are 1. the genitals. Check if this field is empty, and select one if it is. 2. The face. Sometimes you have to change the face. It will not let you continue with the original one. So try this and see if it enables the button.
I had a weird thing happening just now, occurring in the end game (spoiler ahead). I'm running a Gale Origin game with the Gale Pal mod, and so female Gale is trying to dominate the Netherbrain in the Morphic pool. In the last roll, which has a difficulty level of 99, I rolled the number 69 with a D20. This is clearly an impossible number. So now I was just wondering if this is an easter egg that was maybe put in this mod. (It could of course be a bug in the base program or some other mod. I have no die-altering mods installed.) I really had to smile when I saw this number pôpping up. And took a screenshot.
I haven't had any luck getting the mirror to work with this mod no matter what I do. Every time I try the game crashes. Is there any workaround or method to get it to work? I've tried the old version and the vemperen version. Was hoping not to use the body 3 type if possible.
I found a fix. I don't know what causes this issue, but here is the fix.
Start a new game, without the mods that makes Gale a woman, or any of the voice lines. Keep playing till you recruit him, then a bit further (1 combat encounter) then save your game. Install the mods, then load up your save again. Gale is now a woman. To alter his appearance you need the script extender.
Follow this video on how to install it correctly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwJHXAnZ4xw
Once that is installed, load up your game again. Select gale and then put this code here into the script extender Ext.Entity.Get("S_Player_Gale_ad9af97d-75da-406a-ae13-7071c563f604").CharacterCreationStats.BodyType= 1 now approach the mirror, the CONFIRM button is still not high lighted. Just select a new head or press randomize or whatever, and now you can press CONFIRM.
The mirror doesn't work because it is meant for touching up appearances. In this case you have to totally re-create the appearance of the character from scratch. You need Appearance Edit and Appearance Edit Origins. I think there is a button on the hotbar that when you click it you get four different options (one of which is the mirror). One of the other ones works (Respec I think).
When reading through the comment section there was an update after people claimed that SPOILER god gale was not female in the epilogue. After the last version there were comments that regular gale was not female in the epiloge. Mod creator was so kind to promise fixing after patch 7 release but there was never a new update so you might have male gale in the epilogue other than that you will be fine.
On another note: I realized (and others did in the comment section too) that using the "normal" mod make weapons disappear in the back of some characters and also having characters RESIZE when standing still. When using the "vemp head" mod both issues do not appear but the other improvements from the "normal" version are missing - there is no tattoo and likely there will be some male gales in the epilogue. Since updates here are long gone - can some person fix this mod and upload as a seperate mod with giving credit? I imagine this kind of mod is now much easier to achieve especially when having this old mod as a basis. Thanks in advance, whoever you are =)
Your mod is sooooooooooooo awesome I bow at your feet, my prince, my queen, my prophet. I hated male Gale sooooooooooo much, especially after he tried to creep on my during the "let's go look at the stars" interlude.
For some strange reason, this mod changes the human and half-elf male body 2 if you have a custom character as your char, it is shorter than the female, looks like a very short man, which is weird.
I just noticed something like this. for my dark urge half-elf male body 2 I just made, the weapon on the back is going through the body instead of being properly on the back and it almost looks like in the cutscenes it is slightly off where it should be. For example, when grabbing for Gale's hand and pulling out of the portal, it looks like the hands aren't actually clasping each other.

I just posted a small complimentary mod that updates text only to change these to she/her/woman

I have to do the Resculpt> Magic Mirror workaround to get this to work and theres no way i see to keep this original head.
