I love this mod so much, however I was wondering if there is a way for me to get rid of the added hooked nose while keeping the gauntness? I have nothing against hooked noses, I got a mod just to give my Tav one lol- but I just wanted to keep Astarion's face looking like Astarion except looking like he was starved for 200 years- so is there a way to only enable to gaunt face mesh or is it an all in one package with the nose too?
Unfortunately I couldn't mod his hair well I suppose because it didn't show up. I pick extended re-vamped data folder and put in to data of game then since I want to have hair only I check other comments and take ELF_M_NKD_Head_Astarion.GR2 file to data. But still it didnt work maybe I'm doing something wrong. I have BG3MM as well and if it could be a pak file I would succeed for sure. I would look forward for your aid and thank you for your hard work.
WAIT I DID IT AAAA IM CRYING THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS MOD
For some reason Face Mesh doesn't work for me. Everything else does show up in-game. Meaning skin, hair, nails and moles. May anyone have an idea as to why that's the case?
No, only the ones that you also use. Also, worth mentioning - Sometimes (No idea why) the game will launch with the face mesh actually applied but then none of the mods that are in my BG3 Mod Manager load in.
Could you try running with no mods (Just mod fixer and such) and see if the files will load in? As for mods not loading in at all that would be a meta file issue with another mod and not this one.
Ok, I've found the problem. I had one mod that also changed the mesh of Astarion's face, namely a PAK.file mod that added only an earring to Astarion. Thought an earring wouldn't conflict with the face...Shame.
PS.Forgive my asking, but wouldn't you know if it's possible to merge such mods? I'm brand new to modding so I may be way off with such a question. The mod i'm talking about: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1524
Unfortunately since both this mod and the earring mod directly change his head mesh (it seems the earring mod physically adds the earring onto his head mesh) I wouldn't be able to merged them or make a patch unless I just made a version of my mod that gave him an earring.
I found this mod entirely by accident, as I got your Customization Compedium and went to have a looksie at what other fab mods you cooked up. And there, lo and behold I found this. Simply blew me away. And I'm saying this as a person who quite frankly cringes at other Astarion edit mods. Because every damned one of them tries to take this already world-endingly beautiful vampire (hey, his words, not mine!) and make him into a doll, face airbrushed into oblivion, not a wrinkle in sight, looking like a teenage overly edited drama actor. They take every single aspect of his looks that made him look real and discard them ruthlessly in favour of artificial perfection. I disliked them all so much I never looked at other edit mods again. Until I found this.
I can NOT express how much I love what you've accomplished here. His skin is pasty, unhealthy-looking pale - as it should on an undead who's not seen the sun and been abused for 200 years, while preserving all the OG blemishes, shadows and skin texture. He's got hollowed-out cheeks which fits perfectly with his rat-diet. The white lashes are just a cherry on top and I love them to bits! And the NOSE! Oh my gods, the nose threw me for a loop at first, but it does fit! Aside from being perfectly in-theme for our little vampire man, what it does is break the perhaps too-perfect line of his profile a little. It adds.. texture or perhaps depth? to the otherwise perfect symmetry of his features. The imperfections make the gaze linger, enhancing the whole, in my opinion. And to tie it all together, the hairstyle changed to this perfectly foppish - and a little neglectful - ponytail, which gives an indication of style, of old fashion, but ultimately reflects his dishevel condition.
Overall it gives him a destitude, melancholy feel with a foppish twist whilst preserving the foundation of his aristo beauty. You can SEE he used to be beautiful, even if in a little eccentric manner. But now, overlaid on top of that are two centuries of neglect and abuse as well as his undead state.
I'd love to join the user above in thanking you for this mod. Ever since I've made the decision to buy the game I knew I wanted to main Astarion, because of a funny little story, from years ago, related to my first ever IRL DnD session.
This mod is everything I'd like Astarion to look like. I did't know I needed this mod, untill I saw it on Nexus, by chance. Incredible work, that is highly underrated. At least you have a couple of immensly passionate players using the mod in their playthroughs :)
The user above worded my feelings and thoughts perfectly, so I'll end here. Thank you.
Are the white eyelashes tied to the skin? I just added your skin edits and my Astarion now has white eyelashes. I thought they'd be tied to the hair edits.
This is my favorite alternate appearance mod btw. I find that most mods in this category focus on making the characters prettier or younger. Nice to see a mod that makes Astarion look like a true undead.
Oh, that's great! I imagined that Astarion would be exactly like that. Now he really looks like that vampire who was tortured for 200 years, and the undead. I like him much more.

Thank you for creating this mod, really.
