Hello< first of all thanks you so much to make that subclass available which is super flavorful.
I have an issue during combat the tale is greyed out and is not available until out of combat.. for some tales it is not issue but by exemple the tale to have someone invisible and cast fear on the victim attacked isn't available during combat>>and out of combat it is available once again.
You probably want to take a look at the Compatibility Framework. You need either the mod to be compatible with it or to use a Subclass patcher to have multiple subclass mods at the same time.
I seem to find that Spirit Focus isn't doing anything. The healing and damage spells don't have a bonus in the battle log. Apart from that the mod is really nice to have!
Edit: After just randomly throwing spells and cantrips at Lae'zel there was a single instance where it did trigger but I did nothing differently, it just randomly worked in one instance.
I wasn’t playing for too long but none of my spells were applying, some examples I did were Vicious Mockery, Firebolt, Dissonant Whispers, Phantasmal Force, Ray of Frost, and Healing Word
After playing for a while longer, I have not gotten a tale when using the class action. Usually it just gives me a blank wild surge prompt, but once it also just said "persuasion"
No other subclass mods for this play-through, it was also sitting at the bottom of the load order as well (current screenshot as I ended up removing it after getting particularly unlucky with getting no tales). The Hexblade/Invocations were not there when I was playing with it
Thank you so much for the bug fixes! I had a question (and possibly a request) about the range of Tale of the Renowned Duelist. I believe I’m the game it uses the 5ft range but shouldn’t it be be using the Tales overall 30 ft range and but functioning as if you did a melee attack (similar to thorn whip)
For balancing reasons I wasn't really planning to use mods for BG3. And one of my two favourite classes was already in the game (Lore Bard), so what could possibly happen to make me use mods?
Well, you published my other favourite class and here I am, playing a Spirit Bard on my second run.
I really, really like how you did this and have lots of fun with it.
Just one question: With most classes having got a special treatment by Larian, have you thought about giving the College of Spirits their feat Mystical Connection already at level 12, so they get a bit less random for Act 3. I don't think that would make them imbalanced. The Lore Bard would probably still be stronger. But it could be a nice balancing touch since some of the last bosses are pretty imbalanced themselves. Also the Necromancy and Divination spells are quite limited in BG3, so I think Mystical Connection would be a nice touch and would shine some more spotlight on the Spirits Bard's main ability.
For those, who don't know:
Mystical Connection (Level 14)
Whenever you roll on the Spirit Tales table, you can roll the die twice and choose which of the two effects to bestow. If you roll the same number on both dice, you can ignore the number and choose any effect on the table.
Either way, thank you so much for doing a Spirit Bard mod.
I definitely thought of adding this but decided to not implement it to try and be as faithful as I could. I could add it as a alternative in the near future
