I am trying to do gestalt myself but with very little success. Wonder whether you will be willing to update the gestalt version to full release patch 5...
Could you explain how the adventure league leveling is implemented? Is it something where after certain events you're guaranteed levels or after you defeat certain enemies you are guaranteed levels, or is it a mix of both? I really like milestone leveling in tabletop and really want something similar in baldur's gate so my friends and I won't just power level and steamroll the game difficulty mods be damned.
Sadly it's not that advanced. It just alters the experience needed to level. Adventurers League corrects the amount of experience needed at certain level points that Larian made easier but also makes sure nothing you kill just gives you 0 exp like it does in vanilla. Eventually, if we ever get a tool I would actually like to do something like this but right now without a modding tool, it's just not worth the free time to do. :) So instead I'll just be adding optional files that edit how much EXP you get from things after I finish Wave 3's update for Fantastical Multiverse.
Ah ok makes sense, also love the multiverse mod hope you can get it to the way you want it. That mod made me look at Grim Hollow and I think it's my favorite 3rd party book.
Pardon my ignorance, however I'm trying to find a way to ensure that the mod is working properly and I'm not seeing anything in game that jumps out at me. Adventure League seems to have the same experience level up points as vanilla, atleast as far as I can tell so far, so I'm just wondering if there's an obvious "this mod is working" indicator prior to me trying to hit level 13?
Gotcha, yeah i have a few classes that dont reach beyond 12 and was curious, hopefully larian will do lvl 20 soon but that will probably be patch 7 lol
Any chance you could share your mod list / load order? I can't seem to get this working (I have only tried with the gestalt version of this mod and the default mod fixer)
any chance you might make an actual gestalt mod? like 2 classes at once instead of levels having 1xp? i know currently probably not possible due to how database might change and stuff but on release? (i speak of gestalt like in wotr and kingmaker when you use toybox)
