Should I remind you how much Larian changed Karlach’s appearance, making her much cuter? I don't understand why you have problems with a mod that no one is even forcing you to install.
The Narrator literally calls him a "handsome young man" Gortash in vanilla BG3 at best looks like a middle aged man with alcoholism in a fancy coat. this mod is definitely more inline with what was expected. I like the character they just needed a visual tweak; by your logic you shouldn't mod the game since if you actually liked it then you wouldn't need mods.
To be fair, the first time I heard narrator describe him I took it just as him being younger compared to Ketheric because Gortash's introduction starts right after the narrator describes Ketheric and then follows describing Gortash as "younger". However, then the narrator made sure to double emphasize when meeting priestess Gut and talking about Gortash that he was a "YOUNG handsome man" from your vision. So, his in-game appearance certainly doesn't match his description in any regard.

TimonLeslieBerkowitz is right, I should delete the mod and play according to the whims of some random idiot I've never met! Hahaha silly me, thinking I'm allowed to customize my experience to MY liking. Wow! Thanks Timon! Idk how tf I could have possibly enjoyed this game without your imposed preferences on my subjective experience."
Would it be possible to get a texture verson that lacks the dirt? Idk what the deal is with Gortash and Minthara skin textures having like, mud specks on them like they haven't seen a bathtub in ages—drives me nuts lol cuz it's so obviously not just freckles. But I love the skin tex I have from this mod, just wish I could give the damn lad a bath. XD
I'm a bit apprehensive installing this since it adds to the game files instead of BG3MM as I constantly switch between Modded BG3 for my Singerplayer and Vanilla for Multiplayer. Does this Mod make switching between problematic?
Thank you for the work already. The Narrator describes Gortash as a -young- man, with a quick easy smile. But the vanilla game doesn't make him look young at all. The way you made him look is a whole new dimension of Gortash, way better. :D
And yes, i know Larian.... but hey, resisting a handsome guy takes way more guts than kicking an ugly face. I feel i can be way more proud of my Tav if they managed, or a Dark Urge on the redemption path. ;) ;)
Anyway, i installed the main file and hope it works. Long way to act 3.^^

gortash, as with most charismatic villans are designed with oddities to prevent the player from liking them. his coffee stained teeth and average looks was Larian Studios way of making the evil gortash more difficult to like. on the other hand they make "good" characters handsome and beautiful. again, its their way of steering you into a certain direction.
I kind of disagree with this. He's mentioned as being well-liked and charasmatic, and in the vanilla game he just looks straight evil/possessed. Larian constantly makes villains look handsome/beautiful, so I don't necessarily think they were trying to steer us in any direction.
Just wondering.... With the new patch (6) I reinstalled the game and removed this mod (all game folders). I continued my previous saved game (where I used this mod in the past).
Now I can't seem to continue in ACT3 (Wyrm's Cross bridge) which should trigger an event with Gortash. I can't cross the bridge. Any idea what's going on?
(I'm a bit hesistant to reinstall the mod because I'm thinking about reporting this bug to Larian and they would quickly answer it's because of mods)
