where I could've relied on it to protect mages from other mages and get rid of many saving throws
Somebody get this kid to play through a campaign of BG2-SoA, preferably several times... Someone who can't appreciate the value in the system of saving throws isn't even worth discussing spell casting with.
"This along with the whole boring pointless premise of the game made me refund the game"
Which means that he really only played the game for a few hours and didn't even past act 1....
Probably he DOES NOT KNOW, that in act 2, magic casters became VERY POWERFULL... It literally can kill dozens of enemies in one turn with the correct build, this mod, only make it WAY easier, + encounter with enemies caster became a MESS.
I don't recommend NOONE to download this mod, it won't be supported by the own owner since he doesn't own the game anymore, and it literally BREAK the entire game for wizards, sorcerers and etc.
I don't wanna even imagine how the battle between balthazar or Lorroakan mage will be with this mod... Omg, what a nightmare
Well since I find your opinion obnoxious I will download and use this mod for every playthrough. Thank you for convincing me this mod is essential to the game.
"How dare you not agree. it must be bait" bruh that ego on you. first telling people how to play and what mods to install then lacking the self awareness to know that saying no one cares about my post also applies to you. also you shouldnt swap to your alts when replying. Its weird.
@Ihatefallenorder Well, download it and literally break your entire playthrough because you LITERALLY DOWNLOADED A MOD THAT WASN'T EVEN PLAYED ONCE BY THE OWN MODDER, since he literally refounded the game and probably won't evevn open again due to his ignorance.
This mod literally breaks every single mage enemy, and even more any magic caster boss, and not in a good way.
This mod is equivalent in nosense as tell that Warriors are not good, and then give immunity to any weapon damage, and then give the ability to attack 30 times in the same turn (Ps; using as base the play being Level 3)....
This is not a case of mods with a niche players that will play, this is literally a mod that straight up BREAK your entire game, using a broken logic by someone's random opinion which didn't even reached lvl 4 and straight up deleted the game.
There's at least 5 different mods under there that has a goal to make Magic Casters stronger and powerfull, and isn't crying telling that they are weak using as base 2 hours of gameplay, and those are the ones that I recommend;
Or any "Unleashed" mod will do what you want to do. It were never a question of "Urgh, you can't play this mod, because is not the mod that I would use", but a question of This mod is fundamentally BROKEN, by the idea, by logic, by the creator (WHICH DIDN'T PLAYED THE FREAKING GAME), and by implementation itself.
You can see that by just looking into the mods page that I sent, you won't see hundreds of comments telling that the mod is wrong like what's happening here.
@kakaichi Wizard Unnerfed just fixes the relative power between wizards and other classes. Other classes were buffed in BG3, wizards much less, and spells that are supposed to last 10 turns only last 2, making them useless.
In no way is it any similar to dumb sh1t like this.
UltimateEdgelord I know that's not simillar to this dumbshit mod, I'm just giving example of mods that change magic classes, that aren't senseless break gaming s#*! like this mod here. UltimateEdgelord UltimateEdgelordUltimateEdgelord
Lmao, casters are already wildly better than martials at everything but tier 1, and you think they're not strong enough?
I mean mod the game however you want, but the idea that casters need to be stronger than they already are demonstrates an astonishing lack of knowledge about how even mildly competently built casters trivialize most encounters.
Wish they did not change the rules so much and just made the spells work how they should. Buffed haste, but ruined a lot of good spells like how you are still able to attack while blinded pisses me off. Or how you only have to roll one check for grease and no check to move, stand up or jump out of it.
But that's how both spells are RAW? Being blinded just means your attack rolls have disadvantage, not that you can't make any at all, and Grease only makes a saving throw if you start or end your turn, or enter, the effect radius.
I wasn't sure about 5e, but I know that previous editions applied penalties when blind. Not "can't hit at all" but penalties. Unless he's thinking of some games where blind means 0% hit chance (like older final fantasy games). I did a quick google and here's what 5e does for Blindness. Blindsight of course mostly negates these penalties.
A blinded creature fails ability checks that require sight. Attack rolls against the blinded target have advantage. Attack rolls made by the blinded target has disadvantage.
