We need something like this but with xena's chakram. There can even be a thing where you can actively try to find the other chakram and combine them to get the balanced chakram which can hit multiple enemies. That would be awesome.
I think it's an issue with finding something... in game, or maybe out.... that can be taken and used to represent a chakram (just as we have various sword types graphics used by various mods... katana's, claymore's etc) that @Ssin can use for us in game... Maybe keep your eyes open in game for something that might work, or elsewhere, that can be suggested for use?
It is disappointing that Larian did not include even one of the faithful of Shar's iconic weapon in game, though...
I figure it could act like a sorcerer spell for the balanced chakram, to choose 2 enemies and launch the chakram at both before it recombines and returns to you. You could also use the mechanic for that multishot arrow which bounces between targets for the normal chakram.
I kept waiting to see if someone would do a chakram or similar weapon, as they have been the favored weapons of the Sharran's since 2nd ed. So looking forward to putting this to use!
I have over 100 mods loaded, aaaaannnnd I have trouble finding things in the tutorial chest. I found a DART that looks like it has the specs of this? Did you change this to a dart for version I download or did I find some other nother something from someone else that added a bunch of things, and I still haven't found yours? I feel stupid. :P
Still shows up as a golden +1 Dart for me. Even the 1h version is just smaller 1h +1 golden dart. All the stats are there. It's just named "+1 Dart" for me for some weird-o spooky strange reason. I have done long rests, and opened TUT chest again, and looked at Druid Grove shop, and it is still named, and showing as +1 Dart for me ... just with all the stats. This doesn't bother me. It works. It was just super confusing since I have so many mods that add things to TUT Chest, and I could not tell what the "+1 Dart" was from. Kinda hope more peeps add their things inside another other chest inside TUT chest so things are not spread out all over and mixed up with other mods. A "chest of Circles that show up as +1 darts for at least one weirdo" that contain both 1h and 2h versions might be fun. :)
How interesting, according to the logic of things, what you see dart +1 means that the key in the line indicating the name of the item in the loсalization file will coincide with the key in some other mod, this is at least strange, since I generated the keys myself... the only thing I can offer is to sort out which mod the conflict is with by brute force. If you manage to find a mod that conflicts with mine, send me its name, I'll see what can be done.
I updated to latest version and I'm still seeing "Dart +1". That's the 1h version. I have not tested with 2h. I have not put any real effort into testing by completely removing stuff from inventory and throwing into water so it disappears forever, and then totally removing mod, and then re-adding new, bc I'm not really bothered much by it, and I'm super low energy today. It just is what it is. I installed with BG3MM as I do with all mods. Saved, exported, and refreshed BG3MM after update and checked date and version like I do every time with any mod that has update. Version num in BG3MM is still showing 1.0.0.0 instead of 1.0.0.1, but, it's the latest pak from your rar? No worries. I'm living with it. :P
Version # in BG3MM also still shows 1.0.0.0, but, I kinda thinks that is BG3MM thing because some other mods also show v1.0.0.0 even though updated lots in past.
You will not be able to "help" this issue ( and it's not your fault ) because this problem is caused by mods conflict . You will not know which mod ( or mods ) , nor the load-order , of the user who exacted this problem . It is the user who needs to find the conflicting mods , and then , decides which to keep and which to remove . As a mod-creator , you already have done a lot for the community .
I don't use steam. I avoid 3rd-party middleman online-requirement schemes like Steam. Don't they have a record of pulling games, or accidentally on-purpose "losing" stuff and peeps what wanna play a game they loved and purchased 10 years ago can't, and have to buy it all over again? I think I've read about that somewhere, but, I might be wrong too. Meh. Whatevs. I'll try Google and see if there is answer to be found for not-steam. If not, I'm not gonna worry about it, or bother with it too much
I think the mod author is entitled to support their mod how they want to, or not support it at all, without anyone telling them what they can and can't do with their own mods. I've said several times I'm not really bothered by this "Dart +1" thing. The mod works, just not entirely as intended. I'm okay with that. I'm not some Karen demanding service about something what's freebs to begin with.
My point addressed to the mod-creator ( which unlike you stated of ) is the fact he / she ( as well as anyone wishing to help you ) literally cannot on the very fact ... unless the said "helper" has the full access to your PC ( or the device the game is installed ) as well as the non-existent "tadpole mind-share" ability to sync with you - or else , it is literally impossible to pin-down which mod caused this ( nor the possible load-order issue ) .
Nice work telling someone how to do their own job, while also gaslighting a user because it's always something the user did right? You'd think if it was a "mod conflict" putting this mod as the last mod in load list would fix the prob, but, nopes. Also, the only "problem" is the mod is showing up as a dart, but works as advertised. Everything the mod is suppose to do and be is there, except it's just a +1 Dart. It's not really much of a problem at all. But, please, by all means, keep keep popping up like a rando telling people it's their fault, and keep telling mod authors what to do and how to act with their own property when they can decide what to do for themselves without your permission. smh. lol
Place this mod last in the load-order will not always fix the problem ( more so , when the issue seems to be graphic / model ) . Basically , a certain mod ( or mods ) you currently have installed has a model that overlaps with this mod's model ; however , which mod / mods that caused this ... only you yourself can pin-down that ( shall you be willing ) .
I have been trying to help you , and yet , you accuse me this-n-that . Just because you place a mod last in the load-order doesn't mean it will work when there are conflicts .
Are there "darts" in the base game? I have played through to the start of Act 3 (had to restart a few times due to mod issues and realizing I made poor choices early on) and have never seen nor found one... If they are not, then figuring out which mod(s) have added them is a place to start. If the users who are having them show up, all are using the same mod or mods then maybe Ssin can take a peek under said mods hood, so to speak, to figure out what might be conflicting... assuming Ssin is willing, and from all I have seen they seem to be wanting to figure this out as well.
Another thing that can be done is to have those affected share their mod list and load order to compare those as well, though I know that having a large mod list this can prove daunting (guilty of having over 200 atm) but maybe starting with sharing their lists of mods that affect weapons would be a place to start comparing?
I really hope this can be figured out. Best of luck and hope my suggestions, simplistic as they may be, help.
1. Use lslib to unpack all mods into a folder https://github.com/Norbyte/lslib/releases 2. Use a text editor with the function of searching folders, such as sublime text, and search for the weapon’s loсalization file. I think it is ha32bbd5fgf600g4854g9d5eg65cacf379aab. I think this way you can find out which mod is conflicting
I tried that suggestion since I don't have that many mods to begin with. But it only finds that line in the DOTN mod.
There aren't darts in game but the data for darts is available. Dart + 1 should be this item code according to a cheat table I found. 5557cbf6-ce24-48de-beed-3be1a77e1c82 If I search for that code I can find instances of it inside the DOTN mod code (sorry I don't really do mods so I don't know if that's the right term) here and there:
C:\Users\XXX\Desktop\Extracted\Public\DOTN\Stats\Generated\Data\Weapon.txt: 2 type "Weapon" 3 using "WPN_DOTN" 4: data "RootTemplate" "5557cbf6-ce24-48de-beed-3be1a77e1c82"
and
C:\Users\XXX\Desktop\Extracted\Public\DOTN\RootTemplates\DOTN.lsx: 10: <attribute id="MapKey" type="FixedString" value="5557cbf6-ce24-48de-beed-3be1a77e1c82" /> Привязан к ключу data "RootTemplate" "" в Weapon.txt
I removed it and now I see the Disk of the Night! I think I can try to use an alternative highlighter mod for now. I was using Highlight Everything but I had changed to Highlight All because it seemed better to me, but I can swap back I guess. :P
I know when I switched form using the 2H one to the 1H one I was able to safely remove the 2H mod from my load order and replace it with the other. I do not know if they can both be in your load order at the same time, though it sounds like from the reply from Ssin that they can not as the item shares the same ID in game.
As Ssin said though, in order to re-acquire two of the 1H versions after you had been using the 2H version, you can either summon the tutorial chest two separate times and pull the item out each time (Don't forget to turn on turn based mode when you summon the chest or it will "poof" from your inventory after 6 turns or so) or you can go and purchase them from certain vendors.
Best of luck and hope this helped answer your question.
Well done chasing down the bug that some were having with the "golden dart" showing up.
I am still keeping my eyes open for something that could be used to represent graphically, in game, a chakram (that could also be used as a bound throwable melee weapon as well as a ranged one) for you to put to use. Don't get me wrong, I love the purple smoky graphic you are using... but to have an actual chakram Disc of Night... would be divine, lol....

maybe you may ask for a model from that one
Well done!
Answer: Yes it says so in the Files section lol

Awesome! Glad you were able to track it down and fix it!
Hopefully this helps others who have run into the same issue.
That is an intriquing idea for a separate mod. Hopefully @Ssin will consider it.
+1 to this suggestion
You should also check out is "Shadowweaver Katana" mod and all the awesome weps he has added in over there.
