Hello! I would love to try a version of this mod where this action has infinite uses (it says once per day, right?) and any other way to balance that. For example, make it an Action. One turn, you can sacrifice your action and don't attack, but you'll regain a pretty good amount of superiority dices (a flat number of 2, for example, sounds balanced?).
Hello! That sounds like a great mod idea, you can base yourself off of my mod to make a couple quick edits and make it behave the way you want, by the way you describe it, it sounds really simple π
Love the concept, adding for sure! Would it be possible for you to do two different things?
1. Fix Commander's Strike so it's actually useful somehow. (Maybe only costs an action OR one of your attacks and gives the targeted player extra damage equal to your Superiority dice on hit). 2. Adjust Martial Adept to give 2 Superiority dice instead of only 1.
I too, am always trying to find ways to convince people Fighters can be fun too! *Endorsed
Ahh, I see that now, although the lowest option I can find is 3 Superiority dice, which feels like too much, as unfortunately specific as that may be. Also, Commanding Strike remains as useless as Aquaman in the middle of a desert.
I'm planning on making a mod that adds a handful of items that should, in theory, enhance Manoeuvers, and one of the ones I wanna buff is Commander's Strike.
No idea if this is possible or if I'm able to, but who knows π
That sounds awesome! Also, I just noticed this mod (Superior Recovery 1 in 3) is not compatible with RedLeaderR2's, "Fighter Rework" mod. I like both tweaks each mod brings to the Fighter subclass and would hate to have to choose between one or the other. I'll keep my eye out for a Maneuver enhancing mod.
like the idea as battlemaster is surprisingly fun, but even with this it feels a bit limited compared to some other classes for less reward.
Would you consider making a version that restores superiority dice passively by simply making the newly added skill recover a superiority die at the start of each combat instead of granting a die recovery skill. Kind of like rogues "assassins alacrity" but for manuevers.
would ensure in each combat you could use it at least once instead of just being out all the time.
I thought about it, the player's handbook already has the passive Relentless that you unlock as Battle Master lv15, which does exactly what you say.
Since short rests/long rests and supplies are so plentiful, I thought it would be wiser to just grant you more dice during combat where you can run out instead of just 1 per fight π
As for implementing myself, no promises! I have other projects in the pipeline.

This is basically a cheat. Battle master is already the strongest class in the game.

Action Surge's background is perfect, could make it similar to that.
