Hello as many other are I am coming back to play again after the big patch drop. I want to play the new death domain cleric and you know lvl charisma still, ergo here I am after a google search. So I wonder does this mod still work?
Not sure really, it should presumably still work for base cleric, but features added by a new subclass would need to be manually adjusted if any of them have saves or other Wis based scaling.
I can't get this to work for some reason. I have modfixer in and everything, but even after specing to another class and back, everything still reads as Wisdom as it's primary casting stat.
Doesn't change text, and casting stat won't update until you leave respec/character creator. But you can check something like your spell DC/Spell Attack bonus afterwards to verify.
This change NPC clerics? I'm asking cause maybe cause that cleric enemies miss more often or did less damage (cause i'm assuming that the base game design make them with wisdom stats in mind). Just to know.
Very astute. All clerics should use Cha in the core rulebooks, as religions are sustained by inspiring followers. That is caused by the charismatic example set by the priesthood, and the glory of the deity itself. We could keep going: Wisdom should be the stat for both Wizards and Druids, and Intelligence belongs to the Bardic professions, as well as Artificers, and certain types of Rogues.
I'm so sorry if you've already answered this elsewhere, pls direct me to it if you have, but how would one go about adding a subclass manually? I installed the super new Song Cleric mod and would love if this could work with it, because I apparently just want to play a divine bard with no bard perks lol.
Love this mod. Any chance you could make a wisdom paladin? The one already on here borks my other mods something fierce. Was hoping that since you have Charisma Cleric and Intelligent Warlock, it might not be too difficult. Thank you either way.
Does this change the display of the UI and tooltips? Because according to the UI Wisdom is still my casting stat. I havent yet left the character creator to test it, but I was curious and wanted to find out.
Okie! Was just checking cause even the little combat log thing and the numbers on the spellcasting page pull up my Wis Mod for spell attack and DC and stuff so I got concerned.
Um... The numbers on the spellbook page should change, though keep in mind they're bugged when you look while leveling up, but otherwise it should show Cha bonus. If not, it's not working.
I know you probably don't care at this point, but I saw your comment and felt an irresistible need to spend my time on it. Probably the ADHD. Anyway, I looked at the files for this mod and another mod that adds scroll learning to clerics. I'm not a modder or programmer, so I just reverse engineer things that other people make to get what I want. While comparing the two files that modify the cleric class I only saw one line that was different. Well, that and the fact that the spellcasting modifier was changed to charisma instead of wisdom (5=wisdom, 6=charisma). I'm going to try slapping the scroll learning line into the charisma spellcasting file. I imagine you can do something similar to the Unearthed Arcana mod if it's still not playing nice.
I use Notepad++ and this tool for unpacking files. Once the files are unpacked you can view and edit in Notepad++, then pack it up again with the multitool.
Edit: I actually ran into a parsing error while repacking. Trying to fix it. Fixed it. In the meta.lsx file the value on line 25 needs to be changed to an integer. I just mashed numbers and it worked. Might have been because the value was previously a real number.
I was just wondering how you did this? I had an idea for a forgemaster type character from Castlevania and wanted to switch Artificer to charisma for my own game but I'm not sure what to change? I've actually used your mod virtually since it came out for my first playthrough as Shadowheart but I've wanted to branch out into a different character build.

Thanks a lot!
