First, you should enable DLSS or FSR (no matter which one you chose) in video setting in game system, so reshade can fetch the depth information.
Then, as paamu100 and Sineerie said: 1) Reshade > Addons > List of Toggle Group (make sure It's enabled) > Settings. 2) In the settings, clean all yellowed shaders, then double-click on 0x11c53bba so it's yellow. 3) "Apply all enabled techniques" (tick yes). 4) Match swapchain to "Resolution". 5) Invocation location > "On render target change". 6) Exit window and press done. Press "Save all toggle groups".
Don't know why I have to enable DLSS everytime I start the game (maybe something's wrong with my game), but at lease UI mask works for me.
This is a bit of a far cry, but thought I'd just throw it out there. Do you think it would be possible to make a Dead By Daylight UI Mask mod? I've been trying myself but cannot figure this stuff out.
It won't load the toggler on my end, the ReShade add-on tab reports "Some add-ons were not loaded because this build of ReShade has only limited add-on functionality."
tried ReShade version 6.3.3 and 6.2 The 7 toggler files are in the bin folder, The 1 ReshadeEffectShaderToggler.ini is in the bin folder.
Tried it with dx11 and vulkan
edit: There are 2 versions of ReShade on the official site, make sure to download the one with the long title ^^
Does anyone know how to resolve the issue I'm having - every time I use my cursor to select something, be that a character, an item, a corpse, etc. it cause the screen to dim heavily like there is some static fullscreen mask being applied every time I select something. Once my cursor moves off whatever it is, it goes away. It's incredibly jarring especially considering how many times you select something in this game lol.
I cannot for the life of me get the reshade toggler to show up in the addons section of reshade. I installed the new 6.2 Reshade with full addon support, didn't install any of the optional addons, and then downloaded and dropped this file into the bin folder of BG3. When I navigate to the Add-ons section and choose the Add-on search path, it's default is the bin folder but nothing comes up after that. The only things I have are Generic Depth and Effect Runtime Sync.... When I try to search for it, nothing pops up at all. Do you have any idea how to fix this or why it isn't working? I've tried reinstalling multiple times.
There are no clear instructions on the installation of this preset... One person says "Do this" the other one says "This doesn't work for everyone, do that"... And the creator doesn't have a clear guide on how to install it step by step.. I managed after 25 minutes to make it work and unfortunately the bloom is GIGANTIC.. Which makes me think I did something wrong while installing it.. Please, make a guide for it.
Install my reshade by following instructions. After that you can open Addons tab. There you will find 2 groups.
Before fog - place AO shaders before fog. I am not using it for now because I need to mask AO shaders in dialogs. UI - mask interface.
Alternatively you can also open your ReshadeEffectShaderToggler.ini file in nootpad and set the following line to this [Group0_PixelShaders] ShaderHash0=298138554 AmountHashes=1

Edit: I figured it out, follow paamu100 advice and un-yellow 0xc6879c29 while following Sineerie
Match swapchain to "Aspect Ratio"
Works for me now :))
