Maybe buff the common/uncommon helmet saving throw from +1 to +2/+3? or add 1/2 AC to it? (and leave the rare or above helmet unchanged). But i have no idea if this will break the game balance or not honestly).
I would love it if the cloth hats that have no stats whatsoever could be buffed. I'm a bard, and my absolute favorite hat is the ignoble hat. Its just so perfect, but its basically the same as not wearing anything on my head at all. I wish it at least did the same thing as the cap of curing, and maybe raised charisma, and theGregarious Caster and the Well-Liked and Well-Fortified abilities. theRufflesome Blaggart Hat is also pretty excellent, and sadly unusable.
Idk if this warrants a bug report so I'm just gonna post, but having this mod installed makes it so Pouch of Wonders doesn't work (doesn't appear in game at all), at least for me, regardless of load order. I don't know why this is, I just downloaded this mod yesterday and pouch today, only to find that pouch refused to work & triple checking that I had installed everything right, I had to go through removing mods to figure out what was conflicting. I'm not sure which mod I should report this to so I'm just making a post here and on that one just in case.
Also yes, this affects the armor values at their core, rather than a player-level change. So it should be relatively balanced imo and easier to tell what AC someone has. You know if they have light/medium/heavy their give-or-take AC. Obviously the DEX modifier changes that a bit but it is what it is
Yes it should be compatible with any custom armor as long as that custom armor references a standard armor type for its stats. If it is a completely brand new entry, it won't be compatible
No need to make a appearance editor menu and all that since the armors are clearly superior/inferior (besides uniques) with no upside to the worse armor types. All anyone would do is put on the best one and then edit appearance to look however. Simply making them all the same fixes the issue just as good.

What are you referring to exactly? What would you like to see changed with helmets?

This mod that you made is excellent.

Just one question, will this affect NPCs' AC values?

Since most NPCs do not have "+X armor" and instead just basic leather or plate, would they be using the "+0" value then?
