Important clarification: I make my voice presets out of EXISTING AI voice models that I find from the AI community, which means I don't train them myself. This greatly limits my choices, I understand that folks want their favo characters' voices, but it simply can't be done as of now. I'm sorry.
This means: 1. I will not try to improve my existing voice mods, I simply make new ones when I feel like it. 2. I will not make a specific character voice just because you want it, nor have I the ability to do so. 3. These are free mods, use them for free, or don't. I have nothing to gain, stop demanding.
Hi man really like what you did here i was trying my self to do it but really strugle how i got ai voice but lack the skill to do it could you help me with it.
Hello! I've been trying to do a project where I get a bunch of Tav voice recordings done, could you tell me how I would go about replacing or adding audio files?
I know only how to replace, adding more voices would require editing some lsf files, which I don't know how.
So basically you need to 1. unpack voice.pak, you will get 180k .wem files 2. find corresponding files according to file prefixes and convert wem to wav 3. use AI to change these wav files to a desired voice model 4. convert AI changed wav back to wem 5. pack them back up into a .pak
With this method, the hard part is to find right filenames for right voices, for example, all voice 3 filenames (excluding point and click lines) start with "v4df6dba085744704a9fba500da38e1e1". Reference to my credit section and you will find tutorial and tool there.
Hi, replied in this post because i'm asking for help with the same thing. I've followed all the steps, but for some reason it's adding my replacement voice as a mod and not an override and I assume this is why it's not picking it up in game for voice 3?
I am wondering if it's to do with uuid? i downloaded 2 voice replacers for voice 3 to check and both have unique uuid numbers. Other than that, i'm stumped. I just want to hear myself in game :D
So, i've extracted the pak file, found the files for voice 3 (used voice 3 simply because i was trying to use your mod as a cheat sheet on how to do it.) and converted them to wav. used my ai to created the desired files in wav format and then converted them back to wem. packed it all up into a pak file.
load it in mod manager but it adds it in the top section as an active mod, instead of in the overrides down the bottom like your mod does. and then in game, voice 3 is still default voice. I'm not sure where i went wrong! I stayed up waaaay too late last night trying to solve it.
I guess the only thing i've not done is used the tool on your main page to do it - because the tool gives you options for replacing npc's voice lines but i'm trying to replace tav and i don't see that as an option?
I decided on a whim to use your meta.lsx file and renamed my mod to your orc mod name, it then added it to the overrides instead of the mod list, but in game voice 3 was instead silent. i'm going to start again from step 1 and see what i can do.
Just a query - are you meant to use the tool despite wanting to only change tav? because if i pick an npc, am i going to be replacing lets say, shadowheart, with my own voice? cos if i hear shadowheart sounding like me, i might freak out :D Or is that simply how the tool works? you need to pick one but if you don't pick out the voice files from the voices.pak to convert them, nothing changes? (did that make sense? - i'm going on 2 hours of sleep.)
EDIT: Okay, i figured it out and it may be obvious for others, but for those like me... you still need to use the tool, pick a random npc, just don't replace their voice lines.
This solved my issue and @xiaokuii - thank you for the reply and helping out.
For the love of god that mod sounds too good. Such a shame it doesn't work anymore after patch 7. I know you said you won't be working anymore on this mod but I really do wish you would, just once!
You are a complete and absolute fool. This is the retarded equivalent of suing another music producer for using a similar synthesizer or guitar lead. Laughably dumb. Get back under the rock where you came from.
Seems like a dumb take when it's a free mod. If you are going to go after this, are you also going after mods that put things and characters from other games into a game? + weapon packs, models, icons etc
You'd have to take down half the website. It not even the actual voice, it's an AI approximation
Why the f*#@ would you do that? This is something Larian should have f*#@ing implemented since release. An Orc speaking the Queens English? Not f*#@ing likely. Someone finally made the mod that we all needed and YOU took it upon yourself to REPORT IT TO BLIZZARD??? One of the WORST devs in existence? Suck it you c*nt
My half orks voice just...went silent. Number 3 on the voice choice doesnt make any noise. Ive tried dropping the mod directly into the mod folder like it said in the install page, i tried installing it again with the BG3 installer. Am I missing something? Ive read through the comments and it seems like im not the only one who had this issue but other people have got it to work. This is, btw, after the last patch. I dont remember the number. The one where they added more kissing scenes or whatever. Any help would be appreciated. I loved this mod and its just...without it its not a half ork anymore. I do not understand why the devs didnt give dwarves and orks different voices. They gave gobbos and hobgobs and a bunch of other monsters voices that would have worked for orks so it just doesnt make any sense to me. Orks dont speak the Queens English....Id rather he had a good cockney accent like the other greenskins. SO the point; this mod is necessary for me and it looks like im not the only one. Anyroad, thanks again.
Not working as of 17FEB2024 / Patch #6. When previewing voice in Character Creation, no audio plays. In-game, default Human Voice 3 audio plays when triggered.

Well played sir.
