I'm wondering if this mod even works due to the fact that when I have it checked start a new game choose my character class etc; and save the game and exit out . When I check the mod list in the in game mod manager it is UN checked in the in game mod manager? Which means for some reason the in game MM is kicking out the mod. And it is the only one for which it is doing it to. Any chance we can get an update or fix as I love the mod.
I believe there are some extra steps you need to take to mix in-game mod manager and third party mods, but I'm not educated on what those are. I am going to try to make an in-game mod manager version of this mod, and then look into how to make this version work again for those who prefer third party mods.
I would advise against using this version, it is very outdated, there have been a few changes. Are you sure you do not want to update it? If not, I have made my own version from the current game version and would upload it as my mod, but your mod name is just too fitting to be replaced. Btw, I have only removed "EmptyPocketNoticedInvestigation" and not "EmptyPocketNoticed". This seems sufficient to stop the investigation and the NPC comments on beeing pickpocketed, which is neat.
Hey ZaAI, are you able to create the mod? I'm missing the functionality of this mod, also I'm using Better Pickpocketing from graphicfade and I think this will be a good addition to it.
Does not always work unfortunately. There are a few times I've been stopped and searched even with this mod. For example, there is a guard in ACT 1 Underdark Grymforge named Mirthis which will always come looking for you if you steal anything, even with this mod.
Any plans for a mod for that? It's so irritating when Astarion successfully stealths and steals something only for the npc to run up to me or the nearest companion and accuse them. Double suck if it's Shadowheart with her -1 Charisma.
This does NOT work with patch 7. Not sure if were going to get an update or not due to the fact that it's over a year old with nothing so far from the author.
I love mods like this. Just tiny little things that stop repetitive actions with zero downside. I don't pickpocket often (my pickpocket char is so redonk OP in it that it borders on cheating) but when I do the dance of - disconnect, pickpocket, walk away for a while, reconnect - is just an irritation with no purpose.
It drove me completely up the wall that when you pickpocket the gith commander (or whatever her title was) at creche yllek (successfully), she would immediately know about it even though she's ostensibly very busy dealing with the inquisitor and in no way saw my rogue with high stealth and high sleight of hand coming.
This time, I pickpocketed and was able to insert the gem or whatever into the thingy and only when the inquisitor's voice comes through does she realise what has happened. And then because the inquisitor is letting me in, there's no need for her to go aggro and attack (and therefore bring the entire creche down on me prematurely). A+
