    Version 1.36
    Added:

    ~_~

    Changes:
Remove the moonshield campclothes debuff from the radiating orb effect.
For the clanking metal sounds, just go to camp and leave camp. It should make the sound disappear.
If you don't see it in vendors then use this mod: Tutorial Chest Summoning at Baldur's Gate 3 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)

If you are updating from previous versions
Unequip and throw away/sell, long rest, save game, delete the old version first, then install the new version.
(as for optional files, choose only one)

Thanks so much for this mod! I have a request, if possible, could you remove the light effect from the shadow lantern and still let me equip it in the instrument slot ? It keeps emiting light and it make sneak impossible, it has the shadow summon and counters it too. Thanks anyways!

how can i disable this? i have gotten rid of all the lanterns from this mod by shoving them to the tutorial chest via tutorial chest summoning. Thia has worked for me when i wanted to get rid of other equipment for mods, i just summoned the tutorial chest, shoved them in there and poof! they disappeared for good. For some reason, when i do it here, my save won't even load. has thid happened to anyone? Is there a way to safely disable it?

Note: This mod is great and i don't mean to insinuate it isn't, i'm just purging a bunch of mods for the shake of my poor laptop being cooked alive

Any chance the normal lanterns you get from the caravan can be added to this too? They're obvi not as cool looking as the moon lantern, but I think they're still pretty cute. Would be great for my non-darkvision peeps to have a lantern with them.

Thank you for creating and sharing this mod! Much needed!

    Minor spoiler ahead!
This mod fills a needed oversight by Larian. Sure, it can be justified as a ‘story choice’ but that is an afterthought justification. Why does a player need to equip a moon lantern when they get the pixie buff? There is one and only one way to have the pixie buff available to the player. Kill the drider Kar'niss and take the special moon lantern only it has. Only that unique moon lantern has the special ability to ‘investigate the lantern’. That is the one and only way to discover a live pixie that can potentially lead to a way to get and re-apply the pixie buff that protects each individual of your party from the shadow curse.

I’ve tried adding the filigree bell through a spawn item cheat. That object doesn’t have the ability to grant the buff. It doesn’t do anything unless it was provided in the unique situation that originally provides it.

Without the pixie buff all party members must stay within the radius of a moon lantern held by someone. That character sacrifices the ability
to hold anything else nor can they do unarmed attacks (crippling monks). It is also irritating because the game has many situations that separate party members (legitimately and quirky pathing) so they cannot remain in the radius of a moon lantern.

This mod is awesome in that it eliminates the forced requirement to take up the primary hand slot with a moon lantern. If you are ever able to add the ability to cast the pixie buff on the party that would be amazing!

Ok so this is one of the best mods for this game. This and the wearable backpacks mod just give so much more "Adventurer" feel to my main hero.

Small annoying bug, that can have dire consequences tho:
I'm using the "test version Goblin lantern" which is without a doubt the most classic lantern look that most people would want after a torch. Only problem is that it has a "Burning" aura set on, meaning every single burn-able surface will burst into flames as soon as you approach.

I went to the bandit hideouts to sell some stuff, and it caught fire to the barrels of powder they were setting. I thought those mothafakaz had simply betrayed me, but no, I just walked in with an open flame lol.

Can you help me disable this ?

edit : I tried to unpack the .pak and fed the .lsx files to ChatGPT.

    • <attribute id="Stats" type="FixedString" value="Wearable_GoblinLantern_Back">: This attribute seems to define the stats or properties for a specific lantern item named "Wearable_GoblinLantern_Back." If the "Burning" effect is defined within the stats for this item, you may need to look deeper into the game's data or code files to locate and modify the specific attribute related to the "Burning" effect.

    • <node id="ConstellationConfigGlobalParameters">: This section contains parameters related to the lantern's properties, including lighting. You might find settings related to the "Burning" effect here.

I'm a complete noob, so that's as far as I can go, I did find "light sharpness" and "light radius" levels, but I don't understand what all the "value" codes are pointing at (probably directly in the BG3 game files?)

Yeah after patch#3 , the behavior is kinda weird for vendors or something. I didn't change anything for the vendors at all and still it breaks for no reason. I'll see what is going on. For the mean time use Tutorial Chest Summoning at Baldur's Gate 3 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)

Apols if this has already been mentioned in other words but I noticed that Moonshield Campclothes are registering a Radiating Orb debuff -1 to hit melee/ranged on the wearer.  This debuff does not manifest when equipping Moonlantern (Underwear), didn't try others.

Also Moonlantern jangling sounds play when wearing both these items and then persist even when the items are dropped/sent to camp.

Hope you can figure out what's going wrong, at least as far as the debuff is concerned.  I see the sound artefact issue is ongoing in the bug tracker.

Thanks for the otherwise useful mod.

The metal dangling sounds I have no idea why or how it still comes out even when I already deleted anything  referencing sounds so lol I have no clue really. Usually what I do is I just equip/unequip the lanterns, then go camp and leave camp. The sound will stop.

As for the debuff, guess I wasn't paying attention and missed that one. should be fixed in the next version.
