    no point to report cases where damage isn't calculated properly or doesn't show up, I can't fix those. its Larian's experimental feature, don't expect it to be consistent.

    1.11 -  cursor version updated for Patch #4. target info version moved to Old Version, use Better Target Info for damage numbers and type in duh Target Info panel.

    Hi there, after replacing you mod with your other recommended one and with the most recent patch the issue is that the loading of my save fails. ie it does not load even when clicking "yes" on the prompt.

    would you be able to update your mode for the lastest patch so i can remove it savely from from save?

      this mod is not supported anymore. issue you mentioned is on the game side, not mod's. there are multiple solutions to it, ask in bg3 discord, modding support channel.

      Did you solve it somehow? Happens the same to me, with other mods too, they are obsolete but I can't remove them or I cannot access the save anymore...

    I'm using the cursor version of this. I'm also using Better Target Info. Would it be possible to add the number of items in containers from Better Target Info to the cursor version of Damage Preview? I'm using Revealing Aura, Enhanced World Tooltips, and Modular Highlight Tooltips. Revealing Aura gets it right for empty and rotten food containers, but Enhanced World Tootips seems to be hit and miss. The reason I'd like it on the cursor is because that's where I'm looking while examining containers. Thanks again and again for your great mods.

    Not sure if this falls under what you mention in the sticky, but sometime after patch 3 my previews for heals shows way below what they should be. Like Cure Wounds at base heals 4-11 but I highlight a target and it shows like 2-5 but still heals for the normal values higher than that.. Actually as I type this I check again and it's actually normal on everyone else but Astarion for me at the moment. Do you have any idea why that might be? He is a 5th party member if that could somehow be the cause.

      are you sure its a heal preview (when you hover over the target with heal spell being pressed previously), not a standard weapon damage preview which shows always when nothing is highlighted? also about which of previews you are talking about, cursor or target info.

      Yes it's a heal preview, I pressed the healing ability and I can see the icon for Cure Wounds and the numbers are blue for healing. I'm using cursor version.

      So I unequipped all of his gear and it seems to have fixed it. Cure Wounds 1 now shows as 4-11. He has a necklace that grants resistance to slash and I thought maybe somehow that could cause a weird interaction. But the heal values still show normal after re-equipping all the gear.

      Hmm seems that fix was only temporary and I can't get it to happen again that way.

    Disabled it trying to get the Magic Mirror to work in the patch, since most issues with it being bugged have something to do with UI enhancements.  Didn't work.  Unfortunately saved a few times and reenabled it, and now it doesn't save.  Damn!! =)  Have to go back and just say oh well and play the rest without it.

    Would it be feasible or even possible for the Target Info version to show a dimmed overlay on the target's healthbar showing the portion of health that would  be removed? I recall this being a feature in some other XCom-like games that I really enjoyed and made it really easy to tell at a glance how much damage an attack would do relative to the target's remaining health. If that description is confusing let me know and I'll try to find a video or screenshot of what I mean.

      I totally understand what you mean, but that will require dealing with game logic. not my specialty, I just tinker around UI side.

    whats wrong with you? all your mods are must haves... but i think thrown damage is bugged. its showing 0-0 on cursor text. also, no damage preview on multitarget. also expected healing doesnt add the +2 bonus healing from salving gloves.

      Nothings wrong with him, this guys the man. This mod just came out, its a first draft - this stuff isnt quick and easy to make. He also has 30+ mods to maintain. This game is complicated af and there's gonna be stuff that isn't realized in first draft, thrown damage is a great example as certain classes (ranger - hunter colossus / fighter - battle master precision attack)  are bugged with thrown damage within the game itself atm, so expect some stuff to need work.

      Patience, it'll all work out.

      both of you need to read description page. damage preview is most likely far from being finished on a hardcode level, otherwise they wouldn't disable it by default. I can tune UI here and there, but fixing fundamental issues - you need Larian for that.

    Idea for another UI improvement, if it’s something you’d be interested in.

    In multiplayer while listening to a conversation, the dialogue history is an overlay across the entire screen. And I think in single player as well? 

    Maybe it could be made to just be something smaller? Think something similar to like the combat log, but for dialogue?
