I am working on a Patch 7 version that removes the mod fixer and works with the official mod manager as well. This will take time, as I'm rebuilding the entire mod in the toolkit. Please be patient!
Does this work with Patch 8? Been combing through my mods trying to figure out which work and which don't - huge list - but I'm not seeing any mention of that here in the comment section.
Apologies if this was mentioned somewhere and I just missed it, but does the additional backgrounds replace the vanilla ones or can you have multiples? For example I usually play Durge but would love to have more than 1 background, a life before my urges manifested as well as the Haunted One after they took hold.
I haven't downloaded the mod but I am curious. Did you add any special effects to some of the backgrounds or are they more a cosmetic thing for RP purposes?
Like for example how the Wildspacer gets "Tough" feat. Did you add anything for Wildspacer that creates a similar effect?
Anything with choices cannot be added to backgrounds. I could theoretically add static Feats, but there's no way to account for things like Magic Initiate. Regardless, this mod was made to represent base 5e. If I could easily create backgrounds that gave Origin feats I would have done it as soon as the new rules released, because I do very much like those rules. Unfortunately, BG3 isn't very flexible on what backgrounds can give you.
I've looked at that but it doesn't do what I need it to do. The toolkit would let me add inspiration, but it's a loooooong process to do it for all the backgrounds I have.
Yo, thanks for sharing my guide. Don't forget that if you want to incorporate 30-40 goals per background for a mod with more than 50 backgrounds, it's literally hell. It's very alienating !
I would put it on there, but I can't figure out how to make ImprovedUI a prereq without editing the pak file after the fact (and Mod.io doesn't let you manually upload for BG3). If anyone knows how, feel free to let me know.
