Girls and guys, if you feel like it, please take screenshots in game and submit, the best ones will be published. I don't have time to do it myself, because modifying textures takes up all my free time...
If something is wrong...
Helpful information You should ALWAYS...
1.Uninstall the old GPU one (DDU). 2. Restart the PC 3. Clean the system registry... 4. Install a new driver. 5. Restart PC 6. reinstall DirectX11 (strongly recommended) 7. optionally for Vulkan (check for newer versions) HERE
Hello and thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately, the Developers have changed/replaced the standard textures with a virtual texture system, and I haven't found a program/a way to unpack it so that it can be edited:/ If something clears up, I'll definitely take care of it. The mod itself should still work after installing the mod to "fix" mod compatibility (it's on this forum). But even when it works, maybe 15% of the rest of the textures are no longer replaced in the game by changing the file structure and their location.
This program, after unpacking the "virtual textures", was able to convert only 2000 out of 12000 textures to .dds files. And unfortunately not the ones I'm interested in:/
Does this mod still work? I added the generated folder into the games data folder but see no changes. Would love to have this mod installed, looks great.
Your Mods were the best and made the MOST IMPROVEMENT to Divinity Original Sin 2 and your mods here on Baldur's Gate 3 will be a must have! Greatly increases my immersion already! Laarian should be paying you for these!
Is there any more of your brilliant work coming for Baldur's Gate 3? Your Mods Really Make the Most significant difference in any given game you work on... (And if its impossible for Baldur's Gate we can understand, but I for one definitely already owe you a big barrel of the Firewine!)
Haha, game is still in EA until Autumn but already available a such a nice mod for it, amazing! :)
Can't wait for more, when this game is finally released, I mean the full version on Steam and not the current Early Access version! :)
Anyway, you mods are always great, I use your mods for Witcher 3 and Skyrim too (Plus downloaded just right now for King Arthur K's Tale. :D), thanks again to share them, & well done, hats off! :)
Hi, yes, because i give all update for one pack, and update 12+textures, for grass, bush etc :) "Version 1v4 - Contains all previous update + retextures a dozen textures." :)
Hm, whats about fps loss? Game isnt optimized well atm and not all of us have good gaming pcs. So, could you consider "lighter" ver of this at some point in future? Great work, btw.
In my opinion the game is very well optimized:) But what is important, my modification does not negatively affect the performance of the game, there should be no performance drops, because I do not increase the resolution of textures. As for reducing the quality to improve the performance of the game, unfortunately, I do not expect anything like that, HQWorld - will be a modification to "improve" the quality and not reducing in order to improve performance:)
I asked, bc in some games, like The Witcher 3, there is similar mod that offers several ver, i wasnt aware of tex size in your mod. If so, its great.
As for optimization of the game - its terrible atm, for non top pc users. Similar to what it was with D:OS 2 at start, in my memory. I can play W3 with tex heavy mods on near all max, but this game? Once you are out of nautiloid, that plays more or less ok on ultra, game suffers from terrible fps drop on DX 11. Vulkan glitches on my pc, so i dont use it.
"Update 1v2a - Fixed an issue with root textures in Owlbear Cave"
It is likely that something went wrong when installing this patch. :) Maybe you did NOT allow the files to be swapped ? I suggest reinstalling the entire contents of the modification... I check Vulkan and dx11 set and all model and textures options, ALL works fine:) check please
Thank you for your answer, I tried everything, reinstalled at least three times. Tried Vulkan and dx11. The only way to fix this on my end is to delete the roots and rocks folders.
Maybe check your graphics drivers for updates. You should ALWAYS...
1.Uninstall the old one. 2. Restart the PC 3. Clean the system registry... 4. Install a new driver. 5. Restart PC 6. reinstall DirectX11 (strongly recommended) 7. optionally for Vulkan (check for newer versions) HERE
90% of people who complain about game stability after these steps have no more trouble. Of course 90% does not mean 100% :) E.g. I after a recent WIN 10 update could not play on Vulkan, and after installing the current version, the problem disappeared. AMD and NVIDIA, not always in the latest drivers apply the latest libraries of these APIs. I play and modify games on: SPECIFICATION: Ryzen 3700X Gigabyte UD 570X Ultra Durable Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Aorus 16 gb ram (3200)
Don't worry I have the latest drivers and I always use DDU to do a clean install. The only thing I can do now is reinstalling the game I guess, but I don't know if it will work.
If deleting part or all of the modification fixes the problem, then there is no point in doing a reinstall :) It looks like your PC spec "reacts" this way and not differently to my certain textures.... I sugest delete my mod, and instal new fresh again... There must be some reason for the gpu driver to render textures on models incorrectly.... DDU- will not reinstall Vulkan API or DX11 for you...

Thanks

Very HIGHLY, Recommended!
Makes Baldur's Gate 3 really look phenomenal, (same as with all his mods) with no impact and ABSOLUTELY ZERO BUGS or Conflicts!
A100N tried & trusted... EXCELLENCE!

Thank You form California!

Image quality has improved significantly!
Thanks from Ukraine)))
I have old files installed.
Do I need to install the version from 2021/04/07?
