Hiya! LOVE your mod but have a question: I notice that when I level up and get my first feat options my character's ability stats all show normal starting stats. Shouldn't they all show as 20 since I have the musical instrument in it's slot now? I ask because some of the feats raise Tav's ability scores and I don't know if I should take those feats because I'm not sure if my ability scores are actually 20 and just not showing up as such on the Tav portion of the screen for some reason.
So I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. But I'm having a really weird crash issue. I've tested all the mods I have, and it leads back to this one.
I had originally downloaded the original nat 20 ring mod, and hadn't updated it cuz it was working fine. Decided to update to the latest version, cuz the instruments would be fun. But the mod refuses to update without the game crashing. I've tried uninstalling the mod and reinstalling. I've tried sticking the ring in the summon chest and then uninstalling that mod, and then trying to remove/update the nat 20 ring, but it still crashes the game. The original mod file still works, so I have that one reinstalled for the time being (thank you for not removing it! It was a lifeline!)
Tried the new save file and everything worked fine. I'll just assume I fucked up somewhere and broke my game lol. I'll stick with the old file for now since I'm so far in already. I'll grab the newest version of the mod when I go to start a new playthrough~
Thank you though :3 Awesome mod, btw! Really helps with the power fantasy feel that I enjoy so much. :D
Is it possible to get Rings/Music instruments etc that only do that for a single stat? Like 'Set Intelligence to 20' etc but ignores the rest? I would really enjoy playing an EK but the fact that Int is the casting stat and is useless for everything else i'm shying away from it.
I know there is the helm in Act1 which sets int to 17 but helmet slots are so valuable =(
There are several items in the game to boost only one ability score. The idea of the mod was to have it all in one item. I understand that it is more OP than perhaps wanted for most playthroughs.
If I have the time, I might make rings/instruments for single abilities. No promises on if and when that would be.
Has anyone else have an issue where it didn't show up in the chest? I'm kinda lost because of it, and you can't buy it off of the guy in the emerald grove either.
Is there any possible way to get the metadata that is supposed to go into the modsettings file? It seems mine has gotten reset and is missing that string, no matter how many times i try and update or reinstall the file. Since I had items on my characters before this happened, and had been playing fine yesterday, it just crashes to desktop when trying to load.
Error message when trying to load states: "The following add-ons were enabled on save, but are now disabled in the mod menu. All Natural Twenty Ring Continue without these add-ons?"
actually disregard! ive used vortex for ages but this is one case where the export load order feature in the bg3 mod manager comes in handy. Imported my load order from save, applied it to the game settings file, and bam! just in case someone else runs into it
Could you please add two more copies of the ring to the bag, one with AC+2 and one with AC+4? Then the bag would contain 3 versions of the ring along with the existing set of instruments. Thank you for your work!
I have the mod downloaded properly, even have the chest summon mod but still I can't find it. Can't find it in the chest and I can't find it in the shop either
It's the chest in the dead-end room next to where you initially find Shadowheart at the start of the game. You can summon the contents of it with mods like Tutorial Chest Summoning.
oh ok i searched the right chest then but didnt see it in there. i may have installed the mod wrong somehow then? in this case would i need to use the chest summon mod to get the ring?
edit: the mod worked with the chest summon mod. thanks!
As far as I know and have tested, by dropping the ring or depositing it in, for example, a summoned Tutorial chest or the Pouch of Wonders, and then removing the mod, works.

Any ideas or suggestions?
Perhaps try a new game with all your mods active and see if that crashes it as well?

I have it loaded after the summoning mod. Hopefully, that helps.
