EDIT: Whoa, did not expect so many positive responses! Thank you all so much! I'm happy that others are enjoying these, too.
While I do plan to add more dyes over time, I may be a bit slow to do so since I like to take my time to create unique colour combinations for each dye that work with most armour types (to the best of my ability, anyway). Considering I'm disabled and still work full-time, I don't always have the energy to put all that effort into this little mod.
I am open to dye requests, but please keep the above information in mind if yours doesn't get added!! I am doing my best. 🥲
At long last.... this mod is finally getting an update. 🙌
UPDATE v1.5: ‣Adds 9 new dyes! (some are fall-themed bc they were supposed to come out months ago... oops.) ‣New (kinda ugly) custom bag icon AND!!! 🥁🥁🥁 ‣Added custom icons for each of my dyes! Finally! - Kinda hard to see in the teeny icons, but if you hover for the tooltip, you should be able to see each bottle has the three main colours of each dye on the label! I tried my best. (': ‣Bag should now auto-filter any dyes you pick up (including vanilla and modded dyes). (removed this bc it was complicating things) ‣Added Quartermaster Talli as a vendor, per request. ‣If you're using Bags Bags Bags Reforged, you should be able to add my dye bag to their dye container. Can't confirm if it works since I don't use their mod, but it should.
So sorry for going MIA for so long! Working a demanding job during the holiday season while disabled had me down for the count most days. I'm only just now starting to finally play BG3 again, so I figured I'd update this mod while I'm at it.
ALSO I'm a dumbdumb and forgot to turn off reshade while taking screenshots of the v1.5 dyes, so the colours may be slightly different in your game. Just a heads up!
I will also be replying to comments, but I may be slow since I missed a lot during my time away. Please bear with me!
Thank you all for the continued support!! 🥹 I appreciate you all so much. All the sweet comments really make my day.
UPDATE v1.4.2: Attempted to fix the issues happening with the bundle versions. Added Zara the Mummy to the list of vendors.
UPDATE v1.4: Adds an additional 12 dyes to the game because I am out of control. Also has a custom bag icon now! (custom dye icons TBA at another time!)
A couple notes: - I will update the preview images at a later time, sorry!! Done - I am aware that the pouch will dump all the dyes out into your inventory. I can't seem to figure out why it's doing that, but will fix it when and if I'm able to.
UPDATE v 1.3.1 Tidied the Bundled and Tutorial Chest versions, hopefully to allow them to work properly for those having issues. If you are not having issues, you shouldn't need to update. Hopefully it helps, because there's nothing else different between version 1.2 and 1.3... In the meantime, I've made it so previous versions can be downloaded for those that had no issues with v1.2.
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
UPDATE v1.3: Adds an additional 9 dyes to the game, for a total of 21 new dyes! Adds two additional versions of this mod: - one that bundles the dyes into a pouch, and - one that adds the dyes to the tutorial chest only. Please only install ONE version in your game.
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
❗Small Announcement!❗
I'm planning to put out a somewhat big update for this mod sometime tomorrow, if everything goes according to plan.
The update will include:
Several new dyes, including some that were requested here.
Dyes properly showing up in the tutorial chest.
A version of this mod where the dyes only appear in the tutorial chest.
A version of this mod where traders will sell a bundle of these dyes, rather than clogging inventories with singular dyes
- (may make this the main version, unless everyone prefers to have them sold individually?)
I also wanted to thank everyone again for all the lovely comments and suggestions!! I didn't think this was going to blow up like it did, and I appreciate you all! 🥹
THANK YOU for the 'ISF Compatible Bundle' update!! \o/ ♥
(PS~ Just to refresh my memory...The load order...this goes under VolitionCabinet, right? I'm pretty sure it does, heh.) EDIT: Yep yep, works hella awesome for me, everything is where it should be, hehe! \o/ ♥ :D
Hey, I like this mod. So much so that LillyBird and I included it in Listonomicon.
"Listo" is a Wabbajack-powered mod list, that works almost identically to Nexus Collections but uses a community alternative to Vortex to help users download mods from Nexus, put them in the correct order, and prepare their game to play. No mods are repacked, stolen, or distributed directly - users are still directed here, just like with Collections, to download from your Nexus page and ensure you are given the proper download credit.
Due to confusion over what Wabbajack is and what it does, users at the Down By The River community encouraged me to give a courtesy "heads up" to the authors whose work is included in Listonomicon. And to assure them that per Listonomicon's install instructions, users are explicitly told to direct their bug reports issues to us first as mod authors (like you) don't want to deal with being inundated with help requests or bug reports from users with 300+ active mods.
You can read a little more about our project on Github, though the preferred way to access Listonomicon is via the Wabbajack gallery. A list of all included mods are here. A synopsis of the philosophy of Listo and what we are trying to accomplish (and avoid) can be found in our Whitepaper on the first two pages, and is elaborated starting page 17 "List Philosophy."
If you have any concern about your mod being included in Listonomicon (which is still downloaded from this page, and credits you as the author), please send me a message via Nexus's PM mail. I'm not sure how to get notifications if someone has replied to a comment.
Yo, I wish to make some treasure table patches which exclude items from all but the tutorial chest, but also add them to Withers via the Trade with Withers mod. I do so in the interest of reducing vendor clutter and providing a more cohesive experience for users of my collection Difficulty, Immersion, Quality. This mod is one I wish to include, naturally the patch will only contain a modified treasuretable.txt file and reference the UUID(s) of either containers holding dyes or the dyes themselves in a .lua file for use with Trade with Withers. All mod files I wish to patch are required for the patch to function, I hope this is something you're okay with!
I'm using only a few dye mods but with yours + others combined it can get a bit messy at some vendors' inventory, so might as well try asking for a different delivery method-feature ;).
Hi, I loved the mod, however, I ended up downloading it after saving Shadowheart and because I was making the game in dark mode, I killed Arron, and I still haven't reached the other points mentioned. I was wondering if there's any way I can add them to my inventory via code in the Script Extender or something like that. (I'm Brazilian, I apologize for any spelling mistakes).
Hello! Thank you so much for making this awesome dye. I have made a Korean translation; if you want me to remove it, please let me know. Thank you again!
Similar issue as the one below, trying to remove the mod but everytime i remove/uninstall the mod, the main menu will load me up to 75%, drop to 50%, back to 75%, then finally 100% and sends me right back to the title screen. I scrolled through the comments and found the one that said to remove the bag/pouch from inventory and to empty it and followed all 3 steps. Upon relaunching the game after uninstalling it, sends me back to the title screen. Will add that I've not used any dyes on anything yet, all dyes were still in the pouch. It's looking like that if mod is removed at all, it bothers the save file.
Unfortunately the way the game works is it still has evidence of mods in the save file and uninstalling mods is an arduous process. I would recommend to just keep it in otherwise you have to scrub your save file manually and it leads to a scary, "This savefile has been tampered with! Don't proceed to play this save!" message EVERYTIME you load the game from then on. Even subsequent saves will have this message.

Edit - Ty for the new file!
Similar to the Selunite guardian or Potent Blue with a bright/royal blue instead of teal or the muted dark blue.
It's looking like that if mod is removed at all, it bothers the save file.
