With the introduction of UmbralJewels' mod, JWL Scratch Is Back, many of the ideas I had to enhance my mod further are already implemented in similar ways. Their approach to increasing the viability of our doggo companion, which was the entire purpose of my mod, exceeds mine. Therefore, I will not be updating this mod and recommend you use JWL Scratch Is Back instead.
Thanks for the kind words of praise on my first modding project either way!
no offence If the player installs a MOD that enhances the enemy, it will be difficult for Scratch to survive a round. 75HP can only withstand about 2 times of damage from magic missiles. Scratch will fall to the ground quickly... However, most players who have completed the game will choose to add MODs that enhance enemies, so the 75HP scratch can only be played in the camp.
I just tried this myself. Only removed the mod. Not even removing the spell from the hot bar or unsummoning/killing Scratch beforehand. Possibly another mod that interacts with Scratch?
Nope. Tried removing the summon scale with you mod together with this and still does that. I also tried to remove all the mods I have to see if it will work, but to no avail. I just think that scratch is op that's why I want to remove the mod. I'll just play my next game (Durge) without the mod. I'm still hoping I could remove this tho.
I might look into some sort of uninstaller-type alternate version in the future. No promises on when that will happen though.
Alternatively, try to move the 'Ball' item that summons him to a different owner and then perhaps into the Travelers Chest in camp. This should remove the spell from their hot bar.
Tried that just now and it's still crashing. No worries. I'll just not use scratch for this playthrough. It's an amazing mod I just find it op even at the level 1 summon scratch. Thank you for the mod, for replying and take your time with the uninstaller. :)
I love the idea though when playing I get two Scratches in camp and he will not follow on area change so I need to use a short rest to fix him, It is nice having him in camp though as we can buff him with hirelings.
Yeah, I tested it myself just now and had the same issue as well. No idea how to fix it though, sorry. Weirdly enough, you summon the same dog in all instances, just with different stats.
If I have time to spare, I might look into it—no promises on when that will be.
Thank you! But I still think Scratch should become a "Blink Dog" with bite attacks that Lacerate, make the target go Prone, and rear attacks that Hamstring.
It's my first mod and yours was the first I looked at to try anything in modding. So I am glad you like it. It was an educational process for sure, so thanks for the inspiration! :D
Basically just three different versions of the same dog that get summoned by their own respective spell, which I hid under the original spell by making it a container.

I had to re-summon him.

I tried to make one of these twice now and looking at yours I got kinda close on the last try, but I'm a bit too scatterbrained to do bigger mods.
