That being said, coming back to update mods every 2-3 weeks is unrealistic for a game I no longer play.
Mods may or may not work with updates.
If you have the game on steam, you can open your steam library and right click Baldur's Gate 3.
Select "Manage" then select "Browse Local Files"
This will open the correct folder. Take the data folder inside of the file you downloaded and drop it into the open folder.
