Hi @Arkien, thank you so much for your work on these--they truly breathe new life into the game/give the companions a different feel to keep playthroughs fresh!
By any chance do any of the options mirror your original "Shadowheart_FtoM2_Deeper" mod? I'd test myself but won't be back on my gaming computer until next week.
I don't have an AI model that quite lines up with the mature voice, yet. But I want to circle back and try to make some variants, but it may be a while.
Thank you so much Arkien. Now I've played through the game so many times its fun to toy around with voices / genders / character designs. This is amazing! I can't wait for Karlach too.
I have taken extra caution, likely more than most modders, to never use voice or sound assets for the generation of AI voice models without clear approval. In fact, on this round I have taken the extra step of generating every voice model myself so there is no risk of sketchy heritage.
If, on the other hand, your saying the actors prefer not to have their voice replaced in the game files. I understand, but I suppose that's the argument for essentially every mod other than bug fixes. It is a modification to the original content, design, and artistic direction of the game. To that end, the purpose of game mods is not to take away from the value of the designers, artists, or actors but to provide additional or alternative content for the players.
sure does sound robotic.. is that because of the changed sound file format DVQR attempts to fix? So much work and in the end I can not ignore those kind of flaws..
I've noticed it as well. It definitely happens after compression and in-game vs raw .wav. but I don't think dvqr alone will fix it. I am working another round of the main file with different processing to see if I can lessen the effects.
