A new icon doesn't bother me at all! I'm crap at makin' icons, so I'm sure it's perfect! Thank you so much for the patch! I don't know how to do things like that so i really appreciate it!! Also, I LOVE the work you've done in Moonsong Ensemble! It really makes Phalar Aluve into the weapon it deserves to be!
Oh I just slapped the glow effects I had behind your sword's icon (and moving it slightly to the right so it aligns better), with the 3 rarities, nothing too fancy. Glad to finally have this sword as epic as a lot of us though and hoped it would be!
I just wanted to add that the sword is based on Forgotten Realms Lore, that Foxhead and I sat down and discussed. There is a Drow language in D&D, but no offical Alphabet, so Foxhead and I used the Drow words (with the English Alphabet) to translate the in-game description of the runes on the sword, but used Tolkien Elvish for the lettering to make it more exotic looking.
Really what the sword represents is Eilistraee, and Seldarine Drow, and gives the sword the glow-up it deserves. It's based off of the bastard sword depicted in Eilistraee's offical D&D image, and lorewise the blade is made of Elistraee's chosen metal, mithral, the pommel is an opal moonstone. A moonstone sword, is a type of heirloom Elvish blade (of different types) in the Forgotten Realms lore that always have a moonstone incorporated in their crafting, typically in the pommel. The symbolism and runes were an attempt by Foxhead to make the blade represent the Dancing Sword-Maiden, and the Seldarine Dorw as best as they could, and I think Foxhead did a fantastic job!
Foxhead and I decided to cut a compromise for stats, where the blade would have its original ability, but it would become a +3 legendary as befitting the work they put into making it so beautiful--and to be like a proper in-game relic of the goddess.

Reporting back! This mod works perfectly with lautasantenni's upgrade mod! Looks like the visual info they used points to the visual info you overrode, so all the stats and functionality of the upgrade mod will be in place while it looks like your visual override! NOTE: this means the altered stats from *this* mod won't be in place when you first pick up the sword, it will be the stats from the upgrade mod, a.k.a. the vanilla stats, until you actually upgrade it in Act II. Also, I have no idea if combining the sword with the music boxes might do something funky. I would assume not since the UUIDs are all the same, but just a caveat since I only spawned in the different versions of the sword instead of making it all the way to Act II in order to test. I'll dig around in the guts of the other mod to see if I can find the music box UUIDs to further test.
Edit: Found 'em! Works just fine with the music boxes. Even tested the old bug and you're fine even with the sword equipped.
Hi, thanks for the beautiful mod ! Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. It brings me back to the main menu whenever I have it on my mod list. Should I be aware of any compatible issue ? I alsot tried to pair it with the moonsong ensemble, which works on its on.

I am not sure of the compatibility issue it could be, I do not use any sword mods except Basket full of equipment, which has a few weapons in. No matter where I put this mod on the load order, game won´t load with it.
Yes, patch 8 with newest hotfix. it doesn´t matter which mod I load first or second. Game won´t load, unfortunatelly. Not sure what is wrong, or what it could be uncompatible with. I tried it to load, just with this mod. Same result, won´t load. If I remove this mod, it loads fine.
I am racking my brain and trying it with different mods. My game simply won´t load it for some reason. I tried to delete whole modsettings too and create a new one. Nothing. Bg3.exe stopped working. I am at my wits end.
Also I tried different weapons mods, like Drow Weaponry. They work fine, not sure why my game can´t load this one.
Edit: I tried it with both in game modmanager and Mod Manager 1.0.12.8 same result, game won´t load.
It works fine for me and I have like 40 or so mods installed, try a new game just as a test, and see if it lets you in. if that doesn't work. My hunch is that you have something baked into your save, or the game, and might need a reinstall of BG3, you should look through the main pages of your mods for any that have any comments about them getting 'baked in'. Sorry for the late reply.
I wish I had any information to give as to why this is happening. A few others are having similar problems, and offered to send me their crash logs so I could try and find out whats causing this to fix it; I'm so sorry this is happening to your game though, and I will endeavor to find the problem and fix it as quick as I can.
Hi there, the mod works perfectly fine for me, but for some reason, it crashes my friend's game at startup. When she opens the game it loads until 93% and it completely crashes and it only happens with this mod enabled. Yes she has the latest script extender, uses the latest BG3MM and has the patch 8 with its latest hotfix. I really tried helping her but I can't figure out why she crashes, is there a way I can maybe show you any logs used for debugging? What should I look for?
Is she using other mods, has she tried a new game just to see if it's save game related? Has she looked at any older mods in her order to make sure they are all updated, and looked to see if they have any reported bugs about things getting 'baked' into the game?
Hello thanks for replying. Yeah we made a lot of testing, I guide her through the process and we tried uninstalling all mods except for this one. We tried deleting the appdata/local/larian folder to restart the game config files, we tried running Steam integrity check, trust me we tried a lot of things and I can't get it to work on her PC, but as I said earlier, the mod does work for me so I really don't know what is causing the crash and it only happens when your mod is installed
Did she try starting a new game with this mod installed? As I said, it could be save game related, and if the mod works on a new save game that would prove it.
Sorry for the late reply. We can't even try that, the game crashes at launch, like literally when you open the game. It reaches 93% and completely crashes to desk, she can't even get to the main menu and it only happens when your mod is enabled in the load order. That's why I'm trying to ask how we can maybe generate or how to read crash logs to check what is causing this issue because is the first time I see this kind of issue.
The same as me. I tried literally everything. The game won´t load with this mod on. You can´t start a new game when the game won´t even load. As Lockholm wrote. It loads at 93% and crashes, nothing works so far.

I love the model, it's gorgeous. I do want to ask, how difficult would it be to change it (mechanically, not visually!) to be a two-handed sword. If I remember my Eilisitraee sword-dancer lore correctly, they use two-handed swords primarily. The model looks like it would work as such, given the length of the grip and blade.
They use both. And technically since it's a bastard-sword, it can be used in one or both hands, the game just doesn't have the functionality to switch.
the sword is tagged as Versatile and Finesse so it can be used one or two depending on weather you have a shield equipped or not, and can be used with your strength or dexterity modifier as its damage modifier depending on which one is larger.
I am currently using the sword on Lae'Zel with no shield as an Eldrich Knight fighter, with high Dexterity and Intelligence to get the most out of a late game wizard multiclass, and be able to dump Strength
GORGEOUS! it has always upset me to see important weapons in the game just be the stock +1 weapon model. Especially for a weapon belonging to a church of a Goddess that REALLY needs way more love in the larger Forgotten Realms Canon. THIS is a weapon wielded by someone who punishes subjugators in the name of the moon!
Edit: Also for those looking for an extra challenge in attaining the newly Legendary Longsword, I recommend the mod Extra Encounters and Minibosses for reasons I'm sure will be self evident in your next playthroughs :^y
