RE: NEW ISSUES WITH THE MOD So I haven't played BG3 in months but from what I can tell from the comments here and on other mods stuff has changed.
For now, I am tentatively addingMod Fixer as a requirement. If I remember correctly, there was a major patch that made it redundant which is when I removed it from the requirements, but that was either a false assumption or something has changed. My gut instinct is that it has to do with not having the Script Extender installed and a hotfix/patch changing how mods are compiled/loaded so that without the script extender they now won't work, but this is purely a first-glance guess and I'd need more data to verify it.
Based on the "mods that require this one" list on the Mod Fixer page, there are a few different cases and possibly some conflicting information. Again, I haven't touched the game in a while, but my current recommendation is to use the Mod Fixer as it apparently prevents the "new game causing you to spawn as dark urge dragonborn surrounded by naked men" issue as well as the "not able to interact with anything" issue.
As far as I can tell, the mod fixer doesn't have to be installed via mod manager; unzipping the .pak file and placing it in the mods folder should work.
If anyone can provide me with information regarding the recent changes to the BG3 modding scene, I might be able to answer further questions, but as of now I don't know when/how the issue started, or exactly why it is now suddenly happening. Let me know if using the Mod Fixer solves the issues.
Installed Mod Manager, then mod fixer, long rested before talking to Helsik. Couldn't get the robes to appear, not sure what to do.
EDIT: You need to go to Flymms Cobblers and go upstairs, pick the chest and read the book inside. This will give you access to Helsik's entire wares which is what I was missing.
I first installed mod with fixer mod, loaded game and got warning that it would not load mods, attempted to talk to Helsik and it wouldn't load trader screen. Reloaded game with mods got same error and it worked, bought robe. Uninstalled mods reloaded, got warning game maybe unstable without potent robe mod.. Still have robs and no issues. (Restarting maybe doing the same thing as long rest)
It worked for me! Thank you!!! Here are the steps I took:
Installed bdg mod manager --> installed mod fixer --> launched game (ignored the prompt) --> after i loaded in I did a long rest and went to Last Light Inn seller and she was selling it.
One thing I noticed is that my game is so much more laggy and slow after installing the Mod. Will removing it from the active mods after getting the item from the seller mess it up? Will it fix the glitchiness ?
Does not work. Installed via bg3 mod manager, tried long resting as well and the robes do not appear. I did speak to Talli before installing the mod, otherwise not sure why this wouldn't work.
Well I downloaded this mod using the mod manager, but it put my game in a state where I couldn't interact with any NPCS and couldn't go to camp. So I uninstalled it, and now the game crashes whenever I load that save. This was in Honor Mode, so I can't load a previous unmodded save. Is there any way to fix this?
Not just honor mode for me. Every save on every character is broken including my almost completed Act 3 save. I disabled the mod and verified my files on Steam and it's still broken.
If I start a New Game I don't even go into character creator. I spawn in as a Dragonborn Dark Urge surrounded by naked men. 4 Black guys and 4 naked white guys without a penis.
If you found any solution since then please tell me. Thank you.
It doesn't work with vortex. To install the mod manager I have to do many complicated things. I think something is going wrong there.
To install manually I have to copy the pak file to a folder, ok, no problem. But then I have to "copy the mod" to a folder that doesn't exist in the game folder and I do not understand what is meant with "copy the mod". There is only the pak file.
The .pak file is the mod. If this is the first mod you are downloading, the Mods folder might not exist; in that case, you can manually add the folder.
