Ok. It has been confirmed that both Tutorial Exit full Release and Tutorial Quick Exit have conflicts. Installing one of them will result in duplicate skills or no skills at all.
Some of the journal entries state the name of the creature you bit, but some don't. This makes it a bit hard to know what you still need, especially 1-2 acts later.
Also, my journal said I got a reward for biting enough Monstrosities, but it does not say what it does, nor can I find it in Asterion's character sheet. Where is it supposed to be?
hey! Normally, if there is a generic entry like "I bit a monstrosity" that means that the mod recognized that it was a monstrosity, but couldn't recognize the specific creature type (like "Worg"), but such cases should be rare unless you have additional monsters from other mods. If not, do you remember which creatures you bit that didn't give you proper entries? Also, could you show me a screenshot with such entries highlighted, maybe the descriptions just aren't clear enough. With monstrosities there are supposed to be 2 rewards, they should be in Passives in the character sheet, they start with "Essence of X", for example "Essence of Monstrosity (Minor)".
Ah, I do have other mods with extra encounters, which might be why this is having troubles. In the journal, some state the name before the flavor text, like: "Mimic- biting back..." vs what I think is the Ettercap that just starts as "Webs and rot, sticky and...". If they are all supposed to have the name like the Mimic, then it is a different mod that is causing the issue.
As for the passive, the journal said that he has unlocked "Essence of a Monstrosity (Offense)", but it is definitely not in his Passives or Notable Features section. When in combat, it mentions that ability, so at least something is working, but I don't know if all the intended effects are activating since I can't see the description.
Unfortunately I can't seem to reproduce the bug with the Essence of Monstrosity (Offense) not showing, it's supposed to be in the Notable Features section:
If you can upload a savegame with the issue somewhere and give me a link I could try to figure out the bug using your savegame.
I've updated the mod and it now should work correctly with Interesting Origins. Adding Uninstall option is actually harder, since the mod replaces some data and it will be difficult to uninstall it without causing issues with the savegames made with it.
this is hilarious xD and it looks amazing. I really appreciate how you went to the effort of making a quest log too - its much more immersive then needing to alt+tabbing out of the game to check the documentation on nexus. I wish I had this when I started my astarion run! I'm also someone using interesting origins, I'd love to know if it's compatible with that or else its something fun to look forward to next playthrough :D
I haven't tried Interesting Origins, but from the description of it looks like it would not work correctly with it, since it replaces the Original Bite action.
Would this conflict with the interesting origins where Astarion gains vampire levels by killing with his bites? (basically, would this mod make the bite a different thing thereby disabling the other mod's action?)

Enjoying this so much, the descriptions are fantastic!
A question regarding quasits, dryads, and the assorted elementals, do the summons of other companions count? And would that cause them (or the companion who summoned them) to aggro?
Yeah, that's fair enough, haha. I have... a few more questions!
Possible bug, two bites that may or may not be appearing. The Undead listed in the journal include "Avatar of a God - Occasionally, divine wrath animates a corpse beyond its limits". Is this meant to be the Apostle of Myrkul? Because biting him just gets 'Vampiric Infusion - Ketheric', despite the combat log saying, "Astarion used Vampire Bite VI on Apostle of Myrkul", and nothing appears on the log (possibly because I've already got other Thorms).
Also, despite having bitten them twice, Scrying Eye doesn't seem to register at all.
And for clarification, a few other categories!
1) If you don't betray Aylin to Lorroakan, thus getting the opportunity to bite Selune's Emissaries, does this mean Celestial is impossible to fill out?
2) Same question for Giants, if you miss out on biting Lump?
3) Do all Elementals just count for one, ie. if he's already bit the Lava Elemental in Grymforge, does this mean that, say, a Water Elemental won't count later on?
4) Constructs - the list suggests two different gnome constructs. Would a Steel Watcher then, say, the Steel Watcher Titan count? If not, I can't for the life of me work out what another would be. Same for the mental constructs the githyanki use (I tried biting the githzerai head in the Colony, was no go).
Hey, will check the bugs, thanks for reporting them! 1 &2 - correct. There are barely any Celestials and Giants in the game, so I had to make every single one of them count. And yes, Celestials is probably the most difficult to complete as surviving that fight is not easy. 3 - yes, one Elemental is enough. 4 - Steel Watcher and Steel Watcher Titan are the correct answers! 5 - there is a guy called Ptaris who can create Mental Images, you need to bite his Mental Image. Is that the one you tried? If it didn't count it's a bug as well.
I've updated the mod with fixes for Scrying Eyes and Apostle. If you load a savegame with the new version it should update your journal with new entries.
That is so sad! I just found this mod, and Lump is WAY dead. Not that I would ever side with Lorroakan, so I can never get the full collection lol. But that does sound like something Asterion would 100% do, so makes sense.
I'm trying to use the interesting origins mod with astarion but his bite is too restrictive with all the other mods i use. No other mod on this site seems to switch his bite. All I wanted was a no cooldown, bonus action cost 1 version of his bite.
Feels like a bug that bite uses are not restored on a long rest, only a short rest. Fun mod, though I think having more hints about what to bite would be nice so that you know what to look out for. Or maybe a 3/7 type indicator per category or something.
Bite uses should definitely restore on a long rest, I'll take a look to see what causes the issue. As for more info - having 3/7 or similar indicator would be nice, but I'm not sure I can implement it in the Journal, don't really have access to the UI. Instead I'll update the initial journal entries to add how many different creatures you need to bite (Fey - 5, Giants - 3 etc) + more details info about required creatures (Ghoul, Ghast, Death Knight etc), that should hopefully help. Though might spoiler the game by telling you what creatures you'll meet ... Will think how to handle this.
I couldn't reproduce the issue with the bite not restoring on a long rest, unfortunately. However, I've updated the mod and the journal now has more info about creatures Astarion need to bite, hopefully that would be helpful.

Original Bite action.

And thanks for playing my mod
Regarding Ptaris, ah, no, didn't give Esther the egg. So I guess that one's a no-go for this run, then! Thanks again :)
Is there a list of the final buffs?

Are you using P8 new game / existing save?
