Is this meant to imply that DLSS doesn't work when using the script extender? I've never heard that before. Also what is meant by "DLSS4" in this context? MFFG?
Yeah I was also very confused, but the github gives more answers. I guess it has something to do with the "PureDark" DLSS Plugin that one needs to buy on the Patreon. The only thing this adds with the paid plugin is (Multi) Frame Generation.
If it's just about newest DLSS then nowadays one would just get DLSS Swapper and get the most recent DLSS version that way, then go with the many options to force the Preset J/K.
TL;DR if you want frame generation, wish to pay for the plugin(or already bought it), then this is for you. If not, then go for the free alternatives to update DLSS/FSR yourself.
what are the alternatives? I heard something once about swapping a dlss file in the BG3 directory or something but I'm not finding much on google. are there any how-to guides or reviews or videos you can recommend?
@SOCM You can use DLSSSwapper(which can also update AMDs and Intels Upscale models), then either use the NVIDIA App or something like DLSSTweaks to change the preset. That's it basically. Here is a guide to DLSSSwapper and NVIDIA App: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Woou9K1Bonk
And here is a guide to DLSSTweaks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXKIHMbCrUQ
If you follow the DLSSTweaks link that I put unto the name, you can also go into the comments/posts section and find some informative comments there.(for example what the Presets of DLSS actually mean) Hope this helps!
