    Update regarding the development of the mod
    Greetings everyone!

    I hope this message finds you well. This post's content encompasses the current state of development and the mod's overall situation. First of all, I would like to apologise for not updating the mod in the past month; this is due to me currently trying to get things done to graduate, which also includes writing a paper in the field of game design. This situation will continue until May or June, whereas I plan to continue working on the mod within May. I truly appreciate your understanding regarding this matter.

    Therefore, let's get back to the status of the mod!

    In terms of the survey and comments, there were several things pointed out to me which would either need to be added or improved, which included crucial aspects such as:

    • Balancing
    • To less resources
    • No article in terms of the explanation of the class progression
    • Not many abilities and spells (Class seems to fall behind others)
    • Unfinished subclasses (Lux Virtuosus and Aequilibrio Arbitror)
    • No weapon was added (Due to some more significant issues with the importing)
    • The uniqueness of the subclasses does not appear to be well done
    • Minor compatibility issues with some mods 

    The fact that there is so much I have not added or improved yet is undeniable,
    while keeping this in mind, I would like to elaborate on the plans regarding the future of this class:


    • Fixing the problematic aspects mentioned above
    • Expanding the player's experience through adding story (When custom quests become a thing or else it will happen through placing books in the world which can be found)
    • Writing and designing a straightforward document which emphasises the class' spells, abilities, weapons, armour, background and quests (Depending on if they are possible)
    • Addition of custom visuals such as custom armour models and weapon models, fixing the tooltip bug
    • Putting more emphasis on the community's feedback, providing you with a better player experience
      (I had not expected that there were this many people that would download the mod, as it was first meant as a project for my own sake)

    Hi ! first of all, I want to say that your mod is AMAZING like really amazing i am having a lot of fun playing it so far ! I started the game as an umbra adeptus and I am now level 4 and things are starting to get even better. The reason why I am writting this message is because apparently, you can get a sword by playing with the umbra adeptus. Maybe I am missing something but I didn't see it anywhere neither in my playthrough or in the skill tree provided ( it looks really good btw ). So I just wanted to know if it is a bug or do I need to level up a bit more ? 

    Ps: sorry if my english is bad I am french and i am still practicing.

    hey, can you tried to post the table of levels and abilities for the class, please, i think that if you post the homebrew class on reddit of the dnd 5e, maybe they  can help in some aspects, and yes i would like to please you post it, so it can be play in 5e homebrew and not only in bg3, good exaples would be the publised blood hunter by math mercer, and the more homebrew death knight of wow, sorry for posting it here, i didnt know hot to send you a private message

      Greetings,
      First of all, I would like to apologize for the late reply, I have been busy for a while now.
      Concerning your post, I uploaded an article with links to a skill/spell tree for the class and a list that encompasses all the custom spells, passives and status effects. I will update them as the mod progresses. I will work on a more detailed progression list instead of just a skill tree that tells what the character gains at a certain level.

    Hi, I've loved the class since first downloading it in version 0.6.8 and it's one of my favorite custom classes! I have the current version for the class, but when i go to select it in character creation, my game crashes. I've tried selecting other modded classes and those seem to work fine, it's just this one that crashes. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, but the crashes continue :(

      Heya, I am glad that you are enjoying the mod,
      regarding your issue there might be a conflict with another mod in your load-order, I may be able to help you figure out which mod is causing the issue so we can fix it as a few others seem to experience the same problem. A list of your installed mods would be of help in this case^^

      here's a link to all the mods i have currently in use and in load order (i moved 5e spells up to the top of the load order after taking the screenshots, but the problem was occurring before the 5e update). Diemnocturnum is in 38th, as the mods default to alphabetical order.

    Can anyone comment on what is the more balanced version, the player one or the original one. I tried original and things seemed way too strong. Thanks

    Looking forward to trying the duality version! Will have to start a new one to be safe since I only have an honour rn lol still gonna use the main one on it though! Get at me on disc man!

    is this class a emience in shadow refence or the slime sword?

      Regarding your question, only the slime sword is a reference, the class itself isn't, but like the sword isn't yet implemented in the mod cause of an issue I can't seem to fix.
      In general I thought it might be an interesting reference, as I already made an 3d model of it in the past with it saving a lot of work, and it "kinda" fit to the topic of the Umbra Adeptus Subclass.

    Hi, I've just downloaded you recent update. The one with additional dual slots. I tried to spec myselft into light domain but it looks like there's something missing in comparision to darkness. At lvl 10 I was able to use like 5 spells only. That's what was in my bar. With darkness it was like 12 ish. Possible bug in my game? :) BTW. AWESOME JOB MATE!!!

      I am glad that you like the project, regarding your experience the light and twilight subclass aren't as far developed as the darkness subclass, being the reason that these two don't have as much spells yet. But this will change within the next months as I am already developing the skills and so on for the other subclasses.
      With July I hope that all of them will be at the same level regarding their progression.

    I've been looking for some new class mods for bg3 and one looks really cool! Do you have a wiki or a doc that lists all the class skills and passives etc? For example when the class gets feats, spell slots, subclass features and those general kinds of things. I'd love to see the full expanse of goodies I get so I can start theory crafting and planning my build and make sure it's as awesome as I'm sure it is before I download it.

    Regardless, much love and appreciation to you and the other modders out there who put out hours and hours of free content with no strings attached. Keep up the good work bro.

      I am glad you are interested in the mod, regarding a document, yes I do happen to have one but its a little outdated as the Umbra Adeptus Subclass Revamp got released afterwards and I haven't had time yet to update it, but the newer skills should be described in the changelogs of the older file versions for now. I am working towards a newer and more visually appealing class overview, the mod is yet far away from being finished.

    absolutely love the starting armor. i wish it could be found ingame in ways other than starting as this class or making a hireling start as it. its gorgeous
