Assuming Larian finally fixed both bugs sucessfully, this bugfix mod should no longer be necessary. But personally I think I'll keep using this for the time being since I know it works.
Fixed a bug causing Shadow Blade to lose properties when other conditions are removed. This could cause, for example, the blade to lose any bonus damage when Concentration is broken.
It seems like it works now but i'd keep the booming blade fix since they haven't really fix that one xD
Yeah, I don't think they will ever fix Booming Blade because of all the work it requires to integrate it so it works properly with all items and class features, in both non-Honour and Honour Mode (all the work I've put to made that bugfix myself). So I'm confident that bugfix will remain valuable regardless of game updates.
Hello! I think I might have ran into a very weird bug/interaction with this mod. I installed prior to the latest hotfix and everything was fine, but after the hotfix whenever I load the save my character cant move until i unequip and re equip the shadow blade, also I cant pick up any items from the ground (This last thing is permanent, even if I unequip and equip shadowlade). I've tried disabling the mod and loading the save but it doesnt seem to fix it.
That has nothing to do with this mod, as this mod cannot possibly do or cause something like that. That's either a base-game bug or you are having a mod conflict of some kind.
Just wanted to chime in on this and say I had the same issue, troubleshooting narrowed it down to Vanilla Equipment Overhaul being the culprit, not this mod. VEO otherwise functions flawlessly in P8 but removing that mod completely resolved the invisible Shadow Blade issue for me.
i have not seen this being commented before, but i have discovered something, the upcast benefit AND the advantage on dim/full darkness disappears if you unatune the spell.
i usually cast things like Aid and then unatune the spell so i can attune another one, however in the case of Shadow Blade and Mage armor, once the spell stops being prepared, you loose either full or partial benefits, in the case of Shadow Blade, since it is an item on your inventory, you keep the item but at its base level
Lol that's a funny one, pretty sure that would be a base-game bug though, not caused by this mod. Probably because of how Larian programmed it. Fixing that is beyond this mod's scope though, it would require changing too many things and risk incompatibility. It's a very minor thing at least, maybe it even is intentional by Larian.
Hi there! I dont know if i installed it correctly or if its working in the background but to test it out, I put magic weapon on shadowblade, removed it, and the upcasted dmg was taken away
I just tested it and it's working as expected. I can remove or reapply Magic Weapon and it doesn't make the upcasting effect go away, I can even unequip and re-equip the Shadow Blade and both Magic Weapon and its upcasting damage stay as expected. Maybe you are having a mod conflict? Are you playing in Honour Mode?
No just standard mode. I wouldnt know which mod I have would conflict. Other than a camera fix mod from nexus, all the other mods I have are just cosmetic stuff.
That's strange. Sadly I can't replicate it... All I can think of is maybe you are using another Shadow Blade spell that's not the Patch 8 version or maybe the mod got disabled unintentionally...
when using this with hexblade, I found casting bind weapon wasn't causing the weapon to use my charisma modifier rather than the dexterity modifier, I do have a few other mods so it's possible it could be some sort of interference but I'd appreciate if you could test that or something since my accuracy is way worse now :(
I messed with some other weapons as well and it seems the only weapons that are correctly applying the charisma modifier are greatswords, greataxes, and greatclubs
Shadow Blade already lasts until long rest. The only Shadow Blade that lasted 10 turns is the one from an item (I think even the one from 5e Spells lasted until long rest but I don't remember that). The OFFICIAL Shadow Blade spell released in Patch 8 lasts until long rest by default.
Either way, this mod doesn't change that and should be compatible with mods that change that.
probably someone could to make mod that gives each element type of that sword? (something like the other elemental mods, as example that one with paladins smith e.t.c.)
i'd also love a way to pick which weapon it spawns, cuz a shortsword really aint intimidating at all, detracts 1000 aura when wielding it with a shield

I see the vedio their shadow blade are until long rest but why mine only 10 round??
