In the base game, some effects and items set or override your ability scores to certain fixed values, regardless of your own, unless it is higher, in which case they do nothing. So being smart and using a Band of Intellect doesn't make you smarter? Being strong and using an elixir of Hill Giant Strength doesn't make you stronger?

Not anymore!

With this mod, these effects keep their overriding properties, which makes them valueable to invest your stats accordingly, but they now also grant you a flat amount of stats, which comes in handy if you're close to, at, or above the value of their original effect, making them valueable for anyone.

The formula used is it adds half the difference between the effect's value and 15. Here is how it translates, based on the value of the override:
  • <17: nothing
  • 17~18: +1
  • 19~20: +2
  • 21~22: +3
  • 23~24: +4
  • 25~26: +5
  • 27~28: +6
  • 29~30: +7

So for example, say you consume an elixir of Hill Giant strength with your 20 STR Barbarian, you now get to 23 instead of 21. In the same scenario, an elixir of Cloud Giant strength still provides 27, because 20+6 falls short of meeting that. But say you equip an item granting +2 STR, now it becomes 22+6, and you get 28, more than before.
