Really enjoying this class!! Always loved the blood spells and bleed condition so is perfect for me, specially for a Durge run :P

I notice that some spells are not the same of the description u made on this page...it's normal? For examples BloodSucker heal always 3d4 (at 3rd level cast) even if i am on a blood surface, or Blood Rain doesn't have concentration for mantain the rain, the surface is simply permanent or Shackles of Pain not bind the enemy, their mov speed is not reduced, and instead of transfer pain from caster, the target take additional damage every turn...probably other spells are different from description too

As i said the class is really cool and fun! Just for understand why these differences :P

Thanks for pointing that out, and I apologize for the confusion.

Indeed, some spells are different from what is described. I changed the spells you mentioned for example due to limitations of the mod tool (and mine), but now I'm more familiar with the tool and I'm going to change Blood Rain to keep the rain in place and be consistent with the description. The Blood Suck spell will currently always heal the fixed number of the die depending on the level, because I haven't yet found a way to determine the healing number based on the blood on the ground. And the blood isn't absorbed from the ground because when I do that, the spell ends up healing all allies in the area where the blood is absorbed. And Chain of Pain doesn't bind you to the target, transferring half of the damage suffered, because for some reason that I'm still going to investigate further, the damage always ends up returning to the caster and not to the target.

I'm going to change the spells to their alternate forms to avoid confusion.

Other spells slightly different from the description: Death Wish (gains false life, extra damage and damage based on maximum life when finished), Grasp of the Hungry (reduced the number of targets from everyone in the radius to 3) and Living on the Edge (immortal, and the damage suffered will always be the maximum (10d10)).

I imagine the difference was for that! I mean for the limit of the tool, and i understand would not be simple made custom spells so don't worry, u made a great work :P

Better if u find out how to made them more like the description, but not get mad! i wait patiently the update :D

I don't speak English very well, so I don't know if it seemed like the part "to limitations of the mod tool (and mine)" made me sound like a "sad person" LOL, it's just because this was the first mod I made, feedback is always welcome.

Anyway, it ended up taking a little longer than I thought, but I modified the Blood Rain spell, and I'm still going to review the descriptions of the other spells, the ones with "(v.1)" to make them closer to the tabletop RPG version.

I hope you like it, if you find another bug or inconsistency, don't hesitate to send it here :)

LOL English is not my first language too!! What i mean is that i fully understand the difficulty of modding so don't need to apologize!
I repeat u made really a great work for being the 1st mod so don't worry :P

Yoo dude i added new update and Blodd rain is much better now, i don't even try it and i hope it work as new description (blind status ecc) sound really better :) If can i make a suggestion, why not make infection add infect status on bleeding target? so it helps for progression of degradation?
Hope u can upgrade chain of pains too, shound be perfect if it works like intended :) ANd i see u remove concentration on Mosquito so it not break rain concentration i assume :)

I'm playing with patch 7. I loaded it here from Nexus and then deleted it and tried it from larian's ingame MM.

The class does not appear in the selection.

If I load(vortex) it before the mod The First Vampire Warlock(https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/9487?tab=posts&BH=0), it is not in the list.

If I load your mod after The First Vampire Warlock mod, the game always crashes to desktop when you go to the class selection, regardless of whether you start a new game or perform a respec in the game.

I would like to keep and play both class mods. Why is there a problem? Do you have any ideas? As I said, I'm still playing with Patch7 because I'm afraid that the whole game will crumble like when I switched from P6 to P7 and I'll have to redo all the mods and then they won't all work etc. I have over 160 mods, so that doesn't have to be the case for now.

    Thx

This may happen because we need to change level 1 of the game's base table for warlocks or because of a UUID conflict.

If you haven't done so yet, test using the Compatibility Framework (https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1933), it usually solves the problem in most cases, classes that get their subclasses at level 1 are more susceptible to this bug.

If after testing this you still can't do it, send me a comment so I can see what I can do.

Compatibility Framework is at the end of the loading sequence for my mods.

I also downloaded the new mod from another user, Circle of Winter for Druid, which is also new. And as soon as I reach lvl 2 on the druid and want to lvl up the character, the game crashes to the desktop. If I delete this mod as well, it works again.

I have the suspicion that it is somehow related to patch 7/8. So a mod that is created for the current patch 8 could be in the way with patch 7. But this is just a guess, as I'm not familiar with programming.

If you haven't already, try downloading version 1.0.0.7 of this mod.

If you've solved it, I think the mod is requesting the new subclass that Larian has released, and if it can't find it, it ends up closing the game. In that case, I'll update the Blood Rain spell to this version later.

If it doesn't work, as soon as I get home I'll see what might be causing this. Since you had another problem with another recently posted mod, it could be that Larian has changed some things in the tool to avoid conflicts.

If possible, try a (recent) mod that adds a new Class, instead of a subclass.

I have patch 7 on it. So the game doesn't know the new classes yet.

The trial with the older version worked. The game no longer crashes.

The only thing I can't solve is that the mod seems to clash with the “Mod The First Vampire Warlock” in the class selection window.
One mod hides the other depending on how I set the loading order.
However, the classes are active if you have selected them before.
So one of my party members is a Vampire Warlock with the mod and it works. It's just that the class selection is gone if you want to respec it.

And in version 1.0.0.7 I found what appears to be a Spanish translation of the Mosquito Swarm spell instead of English. But I can make up what it says roughly;)

The goal would be to get the latest version of your mod anyway. At some point I'll update to patch 8 and pray that it doesn't break all my mods this time. But that will take some time, maybe after the summer (northern hemisphere)

Otherwise, nice class mod. Fun, interesting and has something.

      All the best to you.

I'm glad it worked, even if only partially.

About the Mosquito Swarm spell, that's its name in DOS2 with the game in English, and I just kept it that way.

And I'm going to study if it's possible and how to avoid conflicts by preventing other subclasses from loading, I'll update the mod if I find a way to do it.

All the best to you too

I cannot express how much I love this mod. Necromancer used to be my favorite playstyle in DOSII (specifically the Hemomancer parts), and so far, this has been a real treat. All that's missing for it to be perfect is the OG Blood Storm.

I appreciate that you liked it. By the way, Bloodstorm is a great spell, and I also have a special affection for it. Not only that, but also Bone Cage. Bone Cage is easier to implement, but Bloodstorm is really a challenge.

Thinking about it, I could bring it as a spell that is part of the passive resource at level 14... Ok, I'll make a new version of the passive that the wizard gains at level 14, again, lol.
