    Would this work on a sack full of items?  Or would it just take the value of the sack?

      the value of the sack is summation of items inside. so you won’t loose your gold.

    What's the rate? Any plans for making range and rate customizable in MCM?

      100%. maybe. I won’t use MCM. but next update will consider adjustable range
