Just released 1.1. I missed some attributes that go into the animation timings and coordination. This will smooth out the tallying experience from being weird where the roll dice seems to stay around even as tallies begin to be calculated.
Unfortunately, the 2.5 - 3 second delay until the pass/fail button shows up is still there. I went back to compare with FDM, and it has the same issue. It's not apparent to me right now how that can be changed or if it can be changed. I tried an even more aggressive reduction of time than FDM for everything that looked like it had to do with time with no luck. I might keep poking at this, but I can't promise anything.
The names you gave to the mods are a bit confusing. 1 says quartered, which could mean the dice roll is only 1 quarter the default, or it could mean you removed 1 quarter of the time from the default. The same problem with the other 1 but it seems to have a note on it at least stating what it does. I suggest putting accurate notes on both to explain exactly what they do and remove this confusion, since there are older versions of the mod, and it is possible the fastest one was never updated (perhaps it bugged things). You could also change the names to be more descriptive, but that might be more work than simply editing the description.
Is it possible to make a .pak version to drop in the mod folder? I'm on mac and games are a single .app file (a 130gb file for BG3), and I rather not edit it if possible.
UPD. From mod's description: «I tried to create a normal mod, but following Patch 1 the same format of the mod metadata didn't seem to work resulting in the vanilla timings being used.»
You can add the files just as you would on windows by right clicking (or dobble tapping I think, I disabled that) on the .app file and choose "show content". That will take you to the same folder structure you would find on windows.
I'm playing on mac and this mod worked just fine for me just by adding the files in the right folders within the .app file
Baldurs Gate 3.app -> Contents -> Data -> Public -> Game -> GUI -> Library
You just make the folders yourself it they do not exist there from before
Hey, I like this mod. So much so that LillyBird and I included it in Listonomicon. "Listo" is a Wabbajack-powered mod list, that works almost identically to Nexus Collections but uses a community alternative to Vortex to help users download mods from Nexus, put them in the correct order, and prepare their game to play. No mods are repacked, stolen, or distributed directly - users are still directed here, just like with Collections, to download from your Nexus page and ensure you are given the proper download credit.
Due to confusion over what Wabbajack is and what it does, users at the Down By The River community encouraged me to give a courtesy "heads up" to the authors whose work is included in Listonomicon. And to assure them that per Listonomicon's install instructions, users are explicitly told to direct their bug reports issues to us first as mod authors (like you) don't want to deal with being inundated with help requests or bug reports from users with 300+ active mods.
You can read a little more about our project on Github, though the preferred way to access Listonomicon is via the Wabbajack gallery. A list of all included mods are here. A synopsis of the philosophy of Listo and what we are trying to accomplish (and avoid) can be found in our Whitepaper on the first two pages, and is elaborated starting page 17 "List Philosophy."
If you have any concern about your mod being included in Listonomicon (which is still downloaded from this page, and credits you as the author), please send me a message via Nexus's PM mail. I'm not sure how to get notifications if someone has replied to a comment.
So I ended up trying this mod, while at first I did like the idea, I started getting headaches from the sped up animations (no idea how) but when I went to go uninstall it. It still is persisting in my game? Is that normal or did I do something with vortex by mistake? I find this strange sense I never had an issue like this with bg3 mods.
Will installing this keep me from earning achivements? I've started a honour run and would be so bad to see a minor mod like this preventing me from getting the golden dice lol.
