About this mod
The Rouge is a dazzling new class themed around make-up and enchantment, that I definitely didn't port to prank anyone making a typo when searching for Rogue content. Bring new heights of charm and fear to Faerun. Based on homebrew by William Rotor.

This is an adaptation of William Rotor's Rouge. The Rouge is a make-up themed full caster, able to use their magic paints and inks to support allies, charm and terrify foes, and disguise themselves. Take the path of the Fashionista, Goth or Clown, and either bathe in your own personal spotlight or slink into the shadows to weave nightmares from afar. Become a Pretty Face, and talk to animals with astonishing Persuasion.
As a Rouge, you can change your lipstick on the fly. At higher levels, you may adopt a Favoured Face, special make-up that grants actual abilities. Paint your lips green and poison those who come near with a kiss. Cover your face in guerilla markings and blend into darkness.

Post level 12: The Rouge technically goes to level 20, and some post-12 features are implemented. But as a full-caster class, it's not really easy for me to give proper levels 13-20 without making brand new 9th-level spells, which wasn't going to happen just for an April Fools joke. Maybe some day!
Spells
The Rouge is a full-caster, gaining spell slots at the same rate as a Wizard or Sorcerer. They're a prepared caster using Charisma to calculate their spell DC. They can learn the following (though the exact spells differ a bit depending on whether you're using 5e Spells or Mystra's Spells):

Features by level
- Level 1:
- You can change your lipstick colour when outside of combat, and can produce three disguise kits each day.
- When wearing Rouge make-up or when disguised, your AC is equal to 13 + your Dexterity modifier.
- Level 2: Subclass choice!
- Level 3: You can apply a special set of make-up called a Favoured Face. You can have one of the following active at one time:
- The Eyes of Horus grant you advantage on Perception checks.
- Venomous Ivy gives you a Venomous Kiss, dealing 2d8 poison damage. (The damage done scales as you level up.)
- Shadowy Stalker allows you to hide while in dim light or darkness.
- Level 4: Feat/ASI.
- Level 5:
- You can recover a 1st-level spell slot once per day.
- You can summon a standing mirror to your side. This has no combat application that I am aware of.
- Level 8: Feat/ASI.
- Level 9: You can recover an additional spell slot each day, which can be 1st-level or 2nd-level.
- Level 10: You gain Infiltration Expert.
- Level 12: Feat/ASI.
- Level 14: While wearing Rouge make-up, you have advantage on saving throws against spells.
Subclasses
Fashionista
You gain access to the following extra spells, which are always prepared:
- Cantrips: Dancing Lights, Thaumaturgy
- 1st-level: Faerie Fire, Guiding Bolt
- 2nd-level: Enthrall, Pyrotechnics / Aganazzar's Scorcher
- 3rd-level: Daylight, Hypnotic Pattern
- 4th-level: Dominate Beast, Wall of Fire
- 5th-level: Destructive Wave, Dominate Person
- Level 2: You can expel radiant light 3m around you. Any creature within this light has disadvantage on melee attacks against you.
- Level 3: You have an additional Favoured Face option, Gliding Model, which allows you to ignore the movement penalty of difficult terrain and become immune to falling prone.
- Level 6: When you cast a levelled spell that rolls a saving throw to inflict a status, you can also Charm the enemy for as long as the spell lasts.
Goth
You gain access to the following extra spells, which are always prepared:
- Cantrips: Bone Chill, Toll the Dead
- 1st-level: Protection From Evil and Good, Sleep
- 2nd-level: Darkness, Mental Barrier
- 3rd-level: Bestow Curse, Speak with Dead
- 4th-level: Banishment, Death Ward
- 5th-level: Contagion, Banishing Smite / Macabre Explosion
- Level 2: You can use your action to meld into an area of dim light or darkness, becoming invisible until the end of your next turn. While invisible in this way your speed is zero, but you can use your bonus action to teleport into nearby spaces of dim light or darkness.
- Level 3: You have an additional Favoured Face option, The Veil of Death, which allows you to feign death to temporarily become undetectable.
- Level 6: When you cast a levelled spell that rolls a saving throw to inflict a status, you can also Frighten the enemy for as long as the spell lasts.
Pretty Face
You gain access to the following extra spells, which are always prepared:
- Cantrips: Friends, Guidance
- 1st-level: Charm Person, Command
- 2nd-level: Calm Emotions, Enthrall
- 3rd-level: Counterspell, Hypnotic Pattern
- 4th-level: Dominate Person, Mesmer's Lullaby
- 5th-level: Planar Binding, Infernal Calling
- Level 2: You are proficient in Persuasion and have advantage on any Persuasion checks.
- Level 3: You have an additional Favoured Face option, White as Snow, which allows you to communicate with animals.
- Level 6: When you cast a levelled spell that rolls a saving throw to inflict a status, you can also Charm the enemy for as long as the spell lasts.
- Level 13: You cannot roll lower than a 15 on a Persuasion check.
Clown
You gain access to the following extra spells, which are always prepared:
- Cantrips: Friends, Vicious Mockery
- 1st-level: Colour Spray, Tasha's Hideous Laughter
- 2nd-level: Crown of Madness, Acid Arrow
- 3rd-level: Fear, Feign Death
- 4th-level: Confusion, Freedom of Movement
- 5th-level: Cloudkill, Telekinesis
- Level 2: You are proficient in Acrobatics and resistant to falling damage. Additionally, you can Disengage as a bonus action.
- Level 3: You have an additional Favoured Face option, The Whole Circus, which allows you to once per combat attempt to Frighten any creature that hits you with a melee attack.
- Level 6: When you cast a levelled spell that rolls a saving throw to inflict a status, you can also Frighten the enemy for as long as the spell lasts.
- Level 13: You add your Charisma modifier to Vicious Mockery's damage, and it deals half damage even on a miss.
