I've actually created my own Slayer retexture similar to this to match my own Dark Urge character. However, I'm having trouble making the transition from the body texture to the neck look smooth.
What did you use to create the retexture? I've just been painting on flat DSS files in GIMP. Mine is okay otherwise, I just can't get that smooth transition from neck to head.
Seams will always be your biggest enemy in texture editing.
Textures are like sewing clothes, you mark one edge of a shirt and then sew it together-- the line will stop at the edge and not continue on the other side of the stitched seam.
Unfortunately, the way i did my mod was extremely barbaric, using gradient shifts and modifying the colors that were already there to preserve the seams; Making the entire thing Red and White. Then by hand i avoided all the seams by simply eyeballing it and knowing what I was drawing on by just assuming i knew what was what (in this case it worked out for me.) From there I made the teeth yellow, the tongue blue and made some extra touch ups.
It just comes down to memorizing everything you did on one side, and continuing it on another. If you want to color shift; you're MORE than welcome to modify what I've made; Credit is all I'd want if that's the case. But if you're doing something a lot more complicated, seeking out a 3d program that allows you to draw and modify BOTH textures at the same time using the model as a canvas is my best recommendation. However i am much to dim to actually guide you beyond this advice, The Larian Official Discord is full of extremely patient people with a plethora of skills and knowledge to help you, I recommend making a post on their forums in their modding section, or seeking out further guidance where you can from there.
I wish you luck, I wish more-so i could be of more help.
Nice mod , was searching for a slayer mod retexture, will take taht , would you mind doing a dark red version as seen in this picture ? the default orange/beige version doesn't look really badass imo :
Unfortunately, the picture you sent does not work. But, I will see to repairing my toolkit as while making this mod, i couldn't actually upload any of my own textures-- a second person had to help me make this due to my broken toolkit. I don't see entirely why not.
Either way, i would genuinely like to make more-- however, there is a good reason i haven't seen anyone else make this mod.
here is a picture i was refering to = https://hardcoregamer.com/db/bg3/how-to-unlock-slayer-form/ ( when you transform you got a "red/bloody" visual then it tone down to the default one after few sec )
Oh it's ok , was wondering if it was possilbe/easy mostly.

If it's okay, I've got a question for you -
