HOW TO BECOME A WEREWOLF? 1. Drink the potion (its NO LONGER a background) 2. Or get bitten by a character using the Create Werewolf abilty from one of your other characters.
HOW TO GET THE POTION? 1. Start a new game (unmodded classs are supported) 2. Hire a hireling (its in their equipment). Works on saved games. 3. If using cheat engine (or similar) the UUID is 0b9c2667-43a9-46a4-9807-af3c34a850c8 (I dont use cheat engine and can't answer questons about it)
Hello there !! My only question is, since you mention it works like a wildshape, does the Werewolf form have its own stats ? or do you just keep your own ? none of the pictures show the forms with their stats (except for the wolf)
Is this the same mod as "werewolfbackground" in the "official" mods? If so, then the potion is missing. I created a new character, with the mod enabled - there is no potion in their inventory, or in the chests around the starting zone. I recruited a merc with another character, with the mod enabled, and still no potion (other than the 2 small health potions) in their inventory.
Hi It's based on this mod but the mod on mod.io doesn't use script extender. The potion is in the chest past where you find the second intellect devourer in the tutorial level.
There does not seem to be a potion at withers after resting or leveling up when using the "werewolfbackground" version of this mod. Making this a bit unusable if you missed the starting chest.
Man this is super cool but I really don't understand making it a potion over a background or class. Werewolves are supposed to have resistances and unique abilities that make them their own unique class. Heck if you made it a class you could even do subclasses like the "pack leader" who can call out for other wolves to come to his aid (essentially a summoner). Also something like the "seasoned hunter" or whatever that focuses combos with effects that stack like bleeding and what not. I guess if the potions add the resistances and base abilities then that is ok. The background/class would just feel more official. Obviously this is all just my preference so great mod regardless!
Play it as the Dark Urge(cus, well, cracked skull and worm thing. I also like to play as the Raised mod race and give my toon a more eery vibe that they already has but are not that clear yet), use the Wretch class (that's mostly personal, but I really can't imagine the original Dark Urge as something other than a gish) and one of the many Lone Wold mod. Go alone because all the s#*! going on is crazy weird and there's people with a bunch of weapons, dragons, a f*#@ing spaceship and even wizards around. You find Lae'zel, that jumps on you with sword and you almost crap yourself. You meet a bunch a tiny demon things and there's barely a place to hide. Sky, ay? There another weird something, though. You feel a thing on a pocket of yours. It's a red... potion? Hell, even if it's poison, it should be better then die by doing whatever these weirdos want you to do. You gulp it. No death. The world feels...smaller? Thoughts are.. wait, thoughts? Are these arrowd on your arm? You pounce at the flying thing shooting tiny bolts and rip it to shreds. There are more, and you're not happy. You taste iron. It feels weird but not unpleasant. Suddenly, the green woman with a blade and the weird spaceships, dragons and whatever else is around you, are not that scary anymore. Well, Faerun won't run from you, and now you really don't feel like running from anything else either. Thank you for your attention, ladies and gentleman! I finish my presentation of what I call the Bestial Urge!
Hey lostsoulman. Your mod looks awesome and I plan on downloading it tomorrow. Just wondering, does it still require mod fixer? On its nexus page there are a lot of people reporting that it breaks the game. Just wondering if there are more modern install instructions than the ones pinned, and if mod fixer is still required. Thank you so much.
I absolutely LOVE the idea of this. I just wish the wolf shape looked different, like the regular gray wolf model. Any chance you could make that happen? :)
Yes, exactly! Would be super cool if there were different color variants as well, but I'm not gonna get picky. I just like how that wolf model looks a lot more than the standard wolf wild shape.
Could you add something where you just look like a werewolf but actually zero abilities? I wanted to play as a Gnoll but that mod was removed and I'm actually looking for more of a mod that lets me use a NPCs model in place of the main character.

Yes you get the physical stats from the wolf/ werewolf form.
One last question, do the Hybrid and Wolf forms scale in power with the character ? or do they remain static ?
They remain static
No, that was an option for the nexus verison.

It started as a background but players wanted to also pick their background. To me it's more an add-on to a race/ species that an actual class.
Until we get patch 7 you still need mod fixer.
I recommend installing mods with BG3 Mod Manager.
Glad you enjoy the mod
So which wolf form did you want? Is it ranger companion or another one?
One wolf looks a bit greyer to me...anyway
V.102 Add: Another option for wolf appearance
It works like wildshape you return normal form if you go to 0 hp in animal form.
