1. Start a new game (will be in the inventory of all unmodded base classes) 2. Hire a hireling at any point (will be in their inventory). So it works on save games.
HOW TO BECOME A VAMPIRE SPAWN 1. Drink the Potion 2. Get someone who is a vampirespawn to use the Create vampire spawn ability on you. 3. Be Astarion. After he uses his attack once he gets the new abilities. Enjoy.
i have done everything the mod tells me to do and all of the mod tutorials but the potion isnt showing up in my inventory at the start no matter what origin or class i chose. what do i do?
Could you create a variant that would allow us to get an improved version? Maybe when Astarion reaches the level of a Vampire Ascendant and bites the player again, that the player also gets the abilities "Ascendant Bite", "Misty Escape" and a toggleable version of the passive ability +1d10 Necrotic damage bonus to Attack Rolls? I know there are already comparable mods, but I just like this one better because it's more immersive and I find that all the vampire immunities in the other mods make the game a bit unbalanced.
Hi, I don't know if it's because I play a modded Race but every single time I load a save I get a new Vampire potion. I have like 7 by now. Is there a way to turn that off?
Do you think you could create a background variant? Where you can just start as an Ascendant Vampire Or a Lesser Vampire?, or allow you to purchase the potion from The Alchemist Girl in Moonrise, and again in Baldur's Gate.
Whats funny? Thats how this mod started...it was a background that you chose I changed it because players want to choose another background, and also so it works on origin characters.
Hey I'm really enjoying this mod for my Blackguard character. I just have one minor complaint and that is the happy status saying I'm Astarion in the tooltip. Any way to remove that for immersion?
The tooltip for the Vampire Spawn bite happy status is changed and Astarion's name was removed, but Ascendant Bite also gives the happy status and that one still says Astarion.

Sorry , I am unfamiliar with that mod.
I would test it!
So are you using nexus version of mod or from mod.io?
Just so i know which mod to test.
I just did a test for mod.io version and the potion was added to inventory on game load.

So any character can drink the potion to gain the powers.
Also in my mod choose your stats any character can gain ascendant powers.
How do you do that? I have not found such a function in CYS.
If you want to remove any then just restart a new game.
Although apparently Larian made is safer to remove item mods now. Untested by me though.
Ignore the dmg and don't try to throw it, I can't fix with the toolkit atm
Is there a way to turn that off?
If you keep one potion in your inventory, not in a bag or chest, you shouldnt get an additional potion.

Try
V1.06 Change: change description, remove Astarion to vampire spawn.
V1.07 Change: change description of ascendant bite
