Frankly summons being AI controlled is a buff imo. I love summons but creating a bunch of stuff I have also manually control is super lame and adds tedium to combat.
I like them AI controlled but damn, it's annoying that you can't dismiss them! I ended up here just for that reason. I'm not sure why Larian didn't make them just vanish after battle or something when they changed things.
So the summons doing half of the damage they were doing in patch #1 but now because they are AI controlled is a buff for you? there are mods that made any summon AI controller, even works with any mods: Summon Utility and Buffs, some people have just no idea what they talking about
It usually works well, But unfortunately does not work under certain situation. When my Necromancy school wizard used Dance Macabre with this mod, It just showed effects blinking and didn't summon any ghouls. I guess the reason was Necromancy wizard's 6lv ability "Undead Thralls: additional undead". If the mod worked properly, Dance Macabre should summon 7 ghouls. But In most time, we use Dance Macabre without 6lv Necro wizard so Dance Macabre summons only 6 ghouls properly. I would really appreciate it if you could fix this problem.
I'm using this with Animate dead++ and 5e spells. Whenever I use Danse Macabre it just plays the SFX effect but doesn't summon any ghouls> I put this at the bottom of my load order but it still doesn't work. When I disable it the spell works again. Can you look into this?
Animate Dead++ should be considered an alternate to this mod. You shouldn't use them together. In fact, I don't use this anymore myself and have swapped to AD++.

PS: Currently playing on Tactician difficulty with Tactician Plus at +200% and Flat +4, but just a regular party of 4, so I don't think the un-nerfed version is that OP with such a setup. YMMV.
Since Hotfix #17 this mod unfortunately doesn't work anymore. I had to uninstall it because it was messing with the completion of some quests. When I instal it again, there was no change to the current nerfed Danse Macabre. I really hope for an update to this mod.
I successfully used this mod and confirmed it works. It doesn't replace any ghouls you have summoned, but I was able to go to a previous save and cast the spell. 6 ghouls, 35 hp each, individually controllable.
FWIW, I used BG3 Mod Manager, and the mod was between the "Everybody Dyes" and the "KvCampEvents" mods. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to have them sorted. But it works!
