The mod has been reworked, renamed, and assigned a new UUID. You can safely ignore the Different Mod Settings warning when loading a save after updating. The main and lite files now also include the data of the stock mod from the previous version, so you can safely uninstall the stock mod.
You may have to manually remove the .paks of previous versions from your Mods folder.

Since Version 3.0 has a different UUID from Version 2.X, anyone looking to update from 2.X to 3.0 can have both mods installed. This means it should be safe to update this mod mid-playthrough. Just remember to load Version 3.0 below Version 2.X.
While you can do the same if you're updating from Version 1.X, it shouldn't be necessary since Version 3.0 was expanded from it and has all its data.
Having both Version 2.X and Version 3.0 also shouldn't be necessary since all the data of the potion variant and its stock file are also in Version 3.0.
When going from Version 2.X to Version 3.0, make sure to toggle off the passives from the potion before updating. Version 3.0 makes the Version 2.0's passives hidden and void, but I noticed a visual glitch with the border highlight persisting if the passives were left toggled on before updating.
Hi there is a small bug currently, if you enable the ice or lightning potion passive when you have already learnt create/destory water before(for example for cleric and druid), it will be overwrote hence disappear from your class spell book l, and now you can't chose level while casting. May be you can simply remove this spell because a lot of mod already do that or add the option for chose level
thx you for this update, it had been worked fine for me, until recently the lightningwalker passive will still give create/destory water again, but I am using the no spell version combine with the stock file. While grease indeed does not appear, if I switch to nowaterspell version, both grease and create water will appear, could you have a look at this problem?Best wishes
Can you check your Mods folder and see if you have any other Surface Changer Potion files in there? If there are, try deleting them and reinstalling the one you want to use.
Hi, I have checked and tried for uninstall/reinstall but the problem is still there. This is strange as both icewalker/firewalker work fine as intended, only lightningwalker is bugged
I have deleted them completely, as you can see if I use a add create water version, both icewalker and lightningwalker should add it, but now only lightningwalker add it, maybe it's caused by other mod as I have installed about 100+ mods, I will try to find the incompatible ones, anyway thank you for your information
Looks like I did miss something, but I'm not sure it'll address your issue. I found out that I forgot to remove the water spell from Lightningwalker in the No Grease and No Spells version, so I'll be updating that in a bit.
I love the idea of this mod, but must admit at first looks of the title I thought this potion would influence your elemental spells like when you cast a fire spell or Frost spell that doesn't already change the surface, that it would create say for fire spell a burning surface underneat the target or for frost spell a ice surface underneat the target. Maybe an idea you could look into if it possible.
What I mainly wanted to request could you maybe make a version that doesn't give you the spells grease or create/destroy water but still give all the rest for potion version? Already a lot mods out there that give spells through items that eventualy makes spellbook from wizard or sorcerer or warlock redundant if they get lesser options to choose from or only options left are spells you never would use.
Honestly, I picked the name because the value that was triggering the ignite/freeze/electrify is called SurfaceChange, and I'm about as creative as drying paint, so I went with it.
That is a nice idea, though :) Might look into it when I'm done with current mods that need maintaining and making.
I've already uploaded a version that doesn't give the Create or Destroy Water Spell. I can do one for just Grease and then another for both, so people can pick what they like.
1.2/2.2 UPDATE: If you're in the middle of a playthrough, UPDATE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Personally, I've had no issues updating from 1.1/2.1 to 1.2/2.2, but if you want to be safe, don't update this mod in the middle of a playthrough.
I'm working on an update that separates the TreasureTable from the main mod to reduce clutter, and hopefully make it easier for people to install version 1.0 if they want.
I really hope this does not come across as rude or entitled, because this mod is great and I enjoy using it. That said, is there any way I could request a "Cloak of Ice and Lightning"? That combination is missing from the current roster.
Also, I am a HUGE fan of the shorter cloaks, so I'm so glad you chose a shorter model to use. If you plan on expanding this mod, I would really love to see more models, especially the shorter cloaks like these ones:
The reason I didn't make a Cloak of Ice and Lightning is because they both affect water. I've tested it, and while the combat log will sometimes say that the water is both electrified and frozen, the ice always seems to win out, which kind of makes the lightning part of it useless. I also figured it may cause issues, so I opted not to do it.
As for other cloak models, no promises, but if you can give me the names of those cloaks, I'll see what I can do when I find some time :) I'll likely only do it for the main version of the mod and not the lite version, though.
Version 2.0 of the mod is now a potion, so you can use any cloak you want, and also have both Ice and Lightning active :) Ice will still take priority, though.
Is that a pre-order item? I'm not sure if that's allowed. If it's not, or if you have another cape in mind, I can do it after I take a little break to actually play :)
Yeah its the pre-order cape, and it should be allowed, as long as we actually have the pre-order rewards of course. If a mod circumvents Larian and makes content like that available without paying I think Nexus Mods will take it down, but altering gear stats "shouldnt" be an issue me thinks
My concern with that is I think it will give access to the cape regardless of whether or not someone has pre-ordered, and I think that's what could get me in trouble. If you have another cloak in mind, though, let me know :)
I haven't downloaded the update yet, but out of curiosity, did you keep the ability to cast grease for the "fire potion?" I thought have the spell grease as a bonus action at will was so clutch in setting up the terrain to really take advantage of what your mod does. Again, i'm sorry for my ignorance. I'm basing my opinion on the information I've read on the description. Either way the mods are awesome and it's allowing me to play out my vision of a "wildfire" druid until someone gets around to modding the subclass themselves. :)
Damn, my bad. I knew I forgot to add something to the description. Yes, the fire passive will grant the Grease spell when you toggle it :) Same as the other two granting the Create or Destroy Water spell to set up freezing/electrifying.
I'll update the descriptions. Thank you for pointing it out! :)

Edit: going to add that it should be safe to switch from the main version to this one.
I've checked all three files and they're correct. No Spells doesn't add any. No Grease only adds Water, and No Water only adds Grease.
Did you remove the .pak files from your Mods folder or did you just uninstall through BG3 mod manager?

Can you use the potions AND the cloaks together? Curious.

As for the cloaks in the screenshots, they are all simply labeled "cloak" and they are plain old grey/white quality items with no stats or anything.
The game has no feature to hide cloaks like for helmets and instruments, wish it did.
Can you make the cloaks invisible?
Yes i'm one of those no cape people in MMO's, down with capes and cloaks! Burn them all!
I'll update the descriptions. Thank you for pointing it out! :)
