some feedback for you after testing :D i got quite a lot of clutter already in arron at the grove installed mid-playthrough (carefully placed it in mod load order after ALL my item mods) checked arron (before long resting) lo and behold! clutter gone!! only emberlight (from this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/12633) and some boring dyes (from this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/3444) still in vendor i longrested to see if those would go away, but they didn't but, compared with the ton of sh*t arron had before installing this, it's fantastic, thanks a lot!
The items from Boring Dyes appear because Arron's default inventory includes dyes, and the items in Boring Dyes are categorised as such. They're not appearing as additional items. Rather, they're filling up default slots for dyes as Arron's list simply pulls from the category.
As far as I'm aware, there's nothing I can do about that outwith of trying to find a way to manually patch for every mod that works in such a way.
This issue bothers me as well, I don't think any other dye mod infiltrates the dye loot tables besides boring dyes. Is there any way I could edit the files for it to not do it?
Still works fine for me on Patch 8. As is, it also reverses this entry from the patch notes, meaning you can still get tongue of madness and timmask spores from Derryth:
"Tweaked the drop table for Derryth Bonecloak so she doesn't conveniently sell the Timmask Spores and Tongue of Madness you need for the 'Help Omeluum Investigate the Parasite' quest."
I respect larian's intention behind this change but I am glad that this mod undoes it, it's a great QoL timesaver to be able to pick everything up from the shop nearby.
Thanks for letting me know about this one! I skimmed over the patch notes but didn't notice this.
I likely will still push an update to change this, just to keep the mod conforming to vanilla standards, but I'll keep the current version around as an alternative, too.
Thank you. I really don't like all of the chests and bags trade clutter. I never understood why modders add them to vendors. Just spawn in the items through other mods or spawn the tutorial chest!
Thank you very much!! It makes the game experience more perfect! Remind friends who do not take effect after installation: Please put it at the bottom of the loading sequence instead of priority!!
Brilliant solution. I thought about manually removing the treasure tables from each of my installed mods, but couldn't muster the willpower to do it (and I would need to do it every time a mod gets updated). Thank you so much for this.
