I really love how you turned Us and Shovel into camp companions, but I'm not super into changing game balance (even if it's really well done) - would you ever consider making a separate mod with just the camp follower features with none of the extra abilities or stat boosts?

I only have one question... will this interfere with IPO2 (Illithid Powers Overhaul 2)? I believe that mod made changes to the Astral-Touched Tadpole. There were also several changes made to the Illithid Powers in general.
Okay, so update... With IPO2 installed, Us does NOT have Illithid Potency charges. However, due to Us using the unmodded Illithid Powers, they are not required in order for Us to use their new power once evolved.
However, I did notice an odd little interaction with IPO2 and Us Evolved... Us gains the ability to undergo Ceremorphosis (IPO2's non-story answer to those who wish to become Mind Flayers, but don't want to affect their playthrough), but lacks the Potency Charges to use the ability. It made me laugh a bit.
I noticed that, after a long rest with Us in their cat form, they lost their offensive abilities and had to be resummoned. I'm not sure if I can replicate it, but it's something to consider. I'll let you know if it happens again.
EDIT: OH. MY. GOD. You gave Us-Kitty colors to match Us in their true form!! I'm in LOVE!!!!

Interesting! Thanks for confirming the effects of having the two mods installed! I'll check to see what IPO2 checks in order to add that ability and see if I can block it.

Oh! I think the polymorph status isn't being removed on long rest, but the game will visually force the removal. When the game removes it this way, it doesn't update spell conditions. I'll patch it up soon.

Hi! So just so I'm 100% clear, this mod and IPO2 will work together? There's just the little odd interaction of giving Us the ceremorphosis ability that just can't be used? No other issues?
I love Us-Kitty so much. If you have time, would be cool if we could see Us-Kitty in the camp and be able to pet them. You can use this mod as inspiration.
That one might be a much bigger lift. Not just with scripted pathing or animation events for each different camp, but also with the way I currently handle removing statuses on long rests. The mod you linked states that Myshka isn't a summon. It's not impossible, but it gets complicated. Maybe one day as a separate addon.
I understand that making all the VFX for using ilithid powers would be tedious. Could VFX just be disabled for polymorphs?? I don't need kitty to look cool while using powers. It's a kitty. Kitties just do things and move on.
The problem isn't really the VFX, but the animations. Being able to use those abilities on the cat would still require creating separate spells with the animations disabled for them. And disabling animations (basically immediate casting) would break actions that need to be reacted to by either allies or enemies. The only viable option would be to create separate spells and modify the animations for them, but then it would get super messy with passives/conditions that watch for specific spells being used or statuses being applied/removed. In that case, the passives and statuses would need to get modified to watch for both variations of each spell, or create separate passives and statuses that work for just the cat version of the spells. It'd basically be another mod.
Maybe a Wild Shape hot bar would work better than what the hot bar with disabled spells currently looks like to avoid confusion.
Really wish there was a mod to de-lobotomise Us. Yeah I know, choices and consequences, but it's just sad theres no mod out there that just removes that condition you accidentally gave your brain-cat because your finger slipped. Shame the game has so many flags that check for this.
Or that the Heal spell that fixed the Durgebrain somehow doesn't heal Us in the same way.
would you possibly make a mod that removes the limit to how many summons you can have? that way, i can have scratch, shovel and us at the same time? (maybe also the owl bear cub if you ever make a mod for the little guy)
Hello, thank you for making this fun mod. If you have an idea, how about allowing Us to use skills while transformed into Kitty? (If it seems inappropriate to include this feature in the main mod file, why not create it as an add-on file?)
