Sorry for the really long absence. I unfortunately just don't have time to work on any of my existing mods and won't make updates. Anyone who wants to edit and upload any versions themselves has full permission as long as some sort of credit is given.
New versions uploaded
Added Rare and Very Rare variants
Slightly tuned Legendary Gear (can be seen in screenshots)
Included Cloak in Main File
There are Tutorial Chest-only downloads for original and alt glove versions - I highly recommend using the Tutorial Chest Summoning mod
There are Merchant-only downloads for original and alt glove versions - Level Restricted Availability (check "How to obtain" in Description)
I've opted not to create updated standalones of each item, it's cumbersome managing so many files. I apologize to those that prefer the standalones - there are still versions in the old files.
Warning about saves using old versions Patch 2 definitely made my existing saves less stable for me. When I was testing pre-patch, all my saves worked.
Your save might break - I tested 4 of my saves and 2 of them didn't work
If you want to keep playing your current save, you may have to keep using the old version until you're done with that save - there was nothing broken about the 1.28 version
If you want to go ahead and update from an older version, you can try steps 2-6 under the "Save Crashing After Update" steps further down, but no guarantees it will work with your saves
Issues/Fixes Anything to do with the armor model This mod uses in-game models, so anything to do with physics, color mapping, clipping, etc. is native to the game and not from this mod. For example, there is an issue with the cloak physics in certain situations, especially after teleporting/misty step. I checked with other cloaks in the game, and it does the same thing. Another example is the arm part of the model will stretch during dialogue scenes for certain races/body types (confirmed for Dragonborn) - these are unfortunately bugs in the base game. Again, this is not a custom model made by me and I do not alter it in any way.
Save Crashing After Update I was able to replicate a crash after updating from versions for two of my saves. Even though I never changed any of the UUIDs, I think the game treats the items from the old version as separate items and sees them as missing. This causes the same crash you experience if you try to load a save that used an uninstalled mod. This workaround worked for me in the past, but there isn't a guarantee it will work for you:
Download and install the old version of the mod that was working for you (might be in the file archive)
Load your save, unequip the armor and sell it or put it in another container (just get it out of your inventory)
Might be unnecessary, but try fast traveling somewhere far or going to camp, away from where you disposed of the items.
Save your game.
Uninstall the old version completely (you can also try to reload the save at this point to see if it works and save again)
Install the new version of the mod and reacquire the armor.
Items Not at Merchant With new saves, the gear won't be in the merchant's inventory until you long rest at least once. With existing saves, the gear might be there, but you most likely still need a long rest refresh.
Sory for my question but how you add the fire aura to the sword i am going crazy trying to add an aura to my sword mod it has something to do with the model or is just text added ? Thank you
In the merged.lsx file, you can add the one from the game or make your own in the Status_BOOSTS.txt file and then add it. It's confusing at first, because you'd think you would add it to the Weapon.txt file. I had found the basic version and a "hellfire" version that does more damage. Here's an example from the Everburn Blade (I removed some fluff that would make reading it confusing, but it's under StatusList):
out of curiosity, and only asking cause i didn't see anything in the mod description, but does this conflict with the guardian armor mod? these are both stellar mods, but if so, then I'll just have to stop using the other one and use this one. Any who, thanks for the awesome mod. <3
Hi my game crash as soon as i want to equip the legendary version of the armor on my character. i made a new save to test is my old save was the issue but the issue happened again. any idea what can cause the issue?
Wanted to let you know that the Rare Sword UUID listed on the Description page is actually for the Rare Shield and the Rare Shield UUID listed is for the Very Rare Shield.
I use the translator.Thank you for creating a great mod. Perhaps it is the effect of the infernal retribution of the armor, but if a character with enough saving throws touches Selune's magic treasure chest in Act 1 while wearing this armor, the magic of the treasure chest is cast infinitely on the character and the game crash . Is there any way to deal with this other than taking off the armor?
I came across this mod recently and its everything I wanted. You did really good work at it. I even played around with some abilities to suit em for my experience and it was really easy to do because of the base you established here. So thank you. I was just wondering that if it would be possible to make the some fixes for the clipping the waist cloth of the armor has with any of the cloaks? It would be amazing if you would be able to work on it.
I've tried both sides of the mod, using the tutorial chest and the merchants and i havent seen either appear so far, im alittle confused... are people using the mod manger for this?
Has anyone figured out whats going on with those floating bits around the thighs? At first I thought it was just this armor, but I'm getting the same things from armor of devotion and hellgloom armor. I understand the arm stretching may be hard to fix, but these floating bits are annoying.
Not necessarily a bug, but maybe you can help. on my male character, the triangle pieces on the armor's belt become detached, float around his knees, and swing about wildly while moving. Looking at your screenshots, thats clearly not happening for you. Have you seen this before, or have any ideas how to fix?
