I am not sure, I have not tested my most recent version of the mod on patch 7. If it does not work with your game on patch 7, I would replace your current version of the mod with the one uploaded on 12 December 2024. (Version 1.2)
idk about anyone else but personally i would be curious if you could make a version with a few extra abilities to buff up world tree barb from the phb a bit in a thematic and interesting way. honestly they arent big changes and half techincally arent possible without the 5e spells or mystra spells mods but the first is simple and is to give them barkskin constantly with the addition that lets stacking buff from the ring and cloak of protection, the bracers of defense, the evasive boots, and the gloves of bardic inspiration stack over it instead of the usual unarmored defense allowing them to actually wear armor without issue cause the armor itself doesnt give them any benefit unless it naturally has a ac higher than 16.
now as for the for the funsies mostly additions, i think it would be cool if mayhaps there was a patch to give world tree barbarians druidcraft, thorn whip, entangle, snare, ensnaring strike, plant growth, and maybe even good berry a number of times equal to half their barbarian level so a level 10 barb can do all the spells above cantrip level 5 times a day and a level 20 could do them 10 times. basically its kinda just to go along with the worldtree theme that if they are drawing their power from the world tree, surely a connection to nature like this would be a given with of course, they would get access to the spells at the same rate as half casters like eldtrich knight and paladin who only go up to 5th level spells at most.
Sorry I had not responded any sooner. From the lateness of this reply you might be able to tell I have taken a step back away from this mod as it seems to be stable for folks trying it out, which I am very glad is the case since this is my first mod.
I do think that if this subclass were in a competition with the other barbarian subclasses, it isn't quite as strong. My personal non-objective opinion I really like the spell idea for casting different nature-themed spells. I may make a separate version that includes these non-2024 PHB features to the subclass.
Could be that its conflicting with something else in my list, but I figured I'd ask anyway where you recommend putting this in the load order? Ive tried putting it early, Ive tried putting it at the end, I've tried putting it in the 30s with my other subclass mods- I cant get it to show up in the game when I go to specialize my barbarian. The only other barb subclass I have is Hellcleaver, but it shows up as do all of my other classes and subclasses. Im so interested to try this subclass so if youve got any suggestions Id be happy to try them!
Hmm, I will take a look at this when I get the chance. I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work unless the Hellcleaver subclass isn't set up right to be compatible with other Barbarian Subclasses. I will do a little testing with that subclass mod to see what may be the culprit, feel free to tinker with putting World Tree Barbarian in alongside other barbarian subclass mods besides Hellcleaver and see if you get different results.
I have done a small amount of investigation. I installed the mod using nexus, and when I loaded into the game it was recognized by the in game mod manager and said it had an update so I installed the update. Afterwards, I tested loading it right before and right after World Tree Barbarian and I was able to be able to select/see both Hellcleaver and World Tree in both cases. Not sure what to tell you besides maybe you have not updated Hellcleaver or maybe something else is causing issues.

Yeah it's weird, I'm still not sure what's going on. I know hellcleaver used to have an issue with eating barb subclasses so to be sure I installed skull collector and path of the giant, which both show up fine alongside hellcleaver. So I removed those three barb subclass mods and this one *still* won't show up. So I removed ALL of my other mods, did a fresh install of the game, installed only this mod and the requirements and it **still** won't show up 😭 All my mods were up to date, too, that was my first guess. At this point either your mod has decided it just hates me, personally, or it's just another bug vortex is having rn lol.
After scouring the web about this it seems Patch 7, specifically the addition of the in-game mod manager, apparently really bungled something up and is causing issues for lots of people with both vortex and bg3mm, and third party mods in general. A damn shame, but I'll try again another time, hopefully they get this sorted out and it doesn't go the way of Bethesda's igmm 🤞😅
I really appreciate your efforts and quick responses. I've made a few mods myself and I know it's such a pain when somebody is having an issue that you can't get to replicate.
I appreciate your reply. Yeah, I am really not sure what may be happening on your end without seeing everything you have. I also just did some PC upgrading so currently bug fixes are on hold until I get my development setup back in order, which shouldn't take long I just need to get everything else on my PC back in order.
If you keep tinkering and find a solution, please share so that I can possibly address it and others may see so they might get it working as well.
Update: For no discernable reason whatsoever, it works now! I had left it in my load order to fiddle with at a later date, but lo and behold I started a new God of War rp playthrough and guess what finally decided to rear its head in the subclass selection?

WOW I am so stoked to see this mod for BG3! I haven't played 2024 ruleset yet, but I was super excited for this barbarian subclass and will DEFINITELY be downloading. Thanks so much for the mod!
Love the mod but either the rage of vitality is not working correctly or I have done something wrong! I seem to be able to target companions but the hp buff always goes to the caster. Should be an easy fix but I'm hoping you can take a look/test and let me know - I'm not using many mods so I don't know what would be conflicting but would really appreciate it if you can take a look!

Disregard! In case anyone is having the same issue, the initial rage command gives hp to caster. After rage is up on caster, there is an additional button that pops up on right side of hotbar with targetable buff! Seems to be working correctly!
Dude. f*#@ing thank you so much for adding this class. This is legit the only missing kinda official subclass from barbs. I'll try and see if I can update it on my end to work with Patch 7 but just know I think you're amazing
This mod may not work on Patch 7 since it was not developed with a patch 7 game. I will need to update it, can't say for sure when that will happen. I need to finish my current playthrough to update the mod.
Not sure what you mean about the subclass icons, if there is an issue with them it must be something new with ImprovedUI (ImpUI) when on patch 7.
Yeah went off ur description it may not work in patch 7 so i tested it lol and yeah it need a update, Character Creation icon when u choosing a subclass is what i mean
