I don't post anything on youtube but I find this mod to be terrific, at least v1, seeing how I absolutely hate that "I want to live" track and its 32000 variations. Silence could not be a better bless.
You really do great work there buddy. <3 I think it shouldnt even be allowed.. if someone makes a remix.. to register that and use THAT to claim. There are always people that find a way to abuse a system.
This happened a couple times for me with the song Streets and Faces. Some asshole made a lofi version and now goes around copyrighting everyone who has the original song playing during the game.
It is described in the mod page (now?). It is not the composer. Some guy made a remix. This remix is now registered in youtube content id and will copyright strike your snippet of bg3 gameplay if a song is detected.
There doesn't need to be "remix" video, just a scammer. This is an ongoing YouTube issue that predates BG3, which of course YouTube does nothing about. Scammers making false copyright claims and essentially "claim jump" video monetization. Video describing the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isSDPt4IYBI
It's an issue that has been on youtube for a while, watch this video for a concise explanation of it happening with the classic FF7 https://youtu.be/954bFzbqkFQ
What? How can something like this even be allowed? I'm so angry rn. Ughhhhhhh You're telling me that if someone records BG3 with the original soundtracks and posts the videos on youtube they're getting copyright strikes by such "scums"? Did I understand this correctly?
