Hello, question /clarification if you don’t mind. I’m currently on my third play through as the dark urge and while I’m not romancing Karachi I do want her to have a good ending so this mod seems perfect, but I’m a bit confused regarding party composition come the final boss.

In order to for this mod to work do I need to have both wyll and karlach in my party at the end or will wyll go with karlach regardless of who I have with me at the docks? Just want to be sure since this mod seems perfect I don’t want to presume since in act 2

Nope, they don't need to be in your endgame party. Everyone you're recruited as a companion that hasn't perma-died/left will be there on the docks at the end :)

Hello, quick question: I noticed that in the in-game mod manager that this mod was disabled, but in the BG3MM it was still in my overrides section. Is that normal, or should I enable it through the game's mod manager? Thank you for all the great mods!

That's normal - it's purely an override mod, so IGMM won't acknowledge its existence.

Would you consider making some edits so that it's possible for Wyll do make some of the bigger choices of his questline on his own without the player having to choose for him? Like the other companions do? *-*

This was on my to-do list, because Wyll definitely needs this! It's kind of a shame that no matter your approval level or past choices, Tav can just straight up make Wyll's biggest life decisions for him.

But I learned that another modder (a more talented one, I should add) already has this in the works, so I'm leaving it to them :)

I see! Wonderful someone else is also giving Wyll some much needed attention too ^^ Would you mind sharing who? Wanna follow them for whenever it's released :D

      @Maanestov
You should check out magnetuning's mods. He is wonderfully dedicated to enriching Wyll's character + story, and most likely the talented modder HyperspaceTowel is referring to.

Thanks for taking the time to do all these fixes in your mods. You're wonderful! ♡˖☆˖♡

Oh hi! Unfortunately I am a bit of a mod hoarder, and I am having trouble finding this mod, in the in game mod manager menu, in order to load it for my play through. I vaguely remember it being called something different there, when I used it in a past play through, but I can't remember what... any chance you know? I love your mods by the way, Thank you so much!

Hello! :) The name you'll see in Mod Manager is HT_Wyll Saves Karlach. You should see it in the Overrides section, not in the panel on the right:

Thank you for the mod. I got to the end of the game. Rage quit. Looked for a mod to fix this issue. Found this. Reloaded a save right before the brain fight and got a happier ending. And Karlach even has dialogue in the epilogue referencing you running off to fight the Lich queen. Thank you for the mod. Fond it a tiny bit buggy (had to space bar through some dialogue as the scene wouldn't progress), but that could just be because I installed it so late in the game. But it was very manageable bug. Much less infuriating then the alternative.

Glad you like the mod! I agree; the ending is so frustrating if you fly away -- why is your rebellion so urgent that you can't be there to say goodbye to Karlach? Why does the Blade of Avernus do nothing and say nothing in your absence?

Where did you experience the bug, btw? Was it on the docks with Karlach or the cutscene with Wyll after?

It started right after the portal to Avenance. Basically the scene wouldn't progress automatically so once they finished a line, I just had to hit the space bar to move onto the next one.

Ah that's actually a bug in the vanilla game (this mod doesn't touch the "arrived in Avernus" scene). Not sure what causes it, but it's happened to me a few times and definitely annoying!
  7. Is there any difference between the new .PAK version and the old Loose Files version?

The old loose files version has a bug for the "flying away with Lae'zel" ending that was fixed in v1.0.0.2. I recommend downloading the  latest pak or latest loose files (if you prefer those -- I just uploaded v1.0.0.2) to avoid this bug. IMO .pak is easier to deal with for this mod because the loose files will be spread across different folders

Do you have to download and install both the loose files and the .pak file? or would the .pak file alone be good enough?

I'm not sure if I've done something wrong, but this mod seems to only half-work for me.
Wyll is the ranger version of the Blade of Avernus, I ride off with Lae'zel on a dragon... and Karlach dies.
Then, at the epilogue party, both Wyll and Karlach are there as if they've both gone to Avernus... but not together.
Wyll comes through the Avernus portal alone, his dialogue suggests he went to Avernus alone, and Karlach's dialogue suggests she went to Avernus alone.

I've implemented the mod through Vortex, though I also have some mods from the in-game mod manager active.  I'm not sure where the conflict is coming from, though.  (apologies, my modding skills leave much to be desired; I'm just trying to give as much information as possible about the issue)

Hello! Sorry for the late reply but that definitely should not be happening! Thank you for the heads up -- I'll look into it

EDIT: The latest version of the mod should fix the problem, but please let me know if you're still having issues!

I seem to be having an issue getting my game to recognize the mod. I used the BG Mod Manager to download the mod but when I check the in-game mod manager, the mod doesn't show up. I tried progressing to the end of Act 3 and the scenes plays out as if the mod was never installed. Can anyone provide help please?

      Hello!

This is purely an override mod, so it won't show up on the mod list in the in-game manager. This is because overrides can't be turned on and off and will be loaded into your game as long as they exist in the Data folder (as loose files) or your Mods folder (if .pak file).

If you download the .pak and move it into your mods folder, you should see it listed in the Overrides section in BGMM:

Thank you for the clarification! I have another question. If I'm using mods downloaded from the in-game mod manager, is it better to download the files for this mod as loose files or can I still use the BG3MM in tandem with the in-game one? Or can I simply download the pak file and move it to the mods folder without using BG3MM?

NP! Either way is fine. I've had no problems using IGMM in tandem with BGMM, but before that I was dropping .paks into my Mods folder without BGMM or just using loose files.
