Hi thanks for providing the framework for making such an edit. I've been wanting to do something like this. I'm wondering, which part in the visualbank should I change to do a similar edit for other races ?
ETA: These comments were not made as genuine shots at the mod but I recognize that over text it is not easy or really always possible to convey tone. I am not and have not ever been upset at this mods existence and have nothing but love for the bg3 modding community - It was a bad take, and a bad joke and there was not enough rapport to be making a joke at all. I apologize for my words and how they've resonated with the people who have read them. I let myself forget that in this space I am not some random person and I did not act with the respect for the community that I should have.
I'm sorry I don't understand, how would me not installing a mod help people play the elf they wish they could be? You're just invalidating the creation of this mod with your comment, and you know it. The point of the mod is to allow people who want the aesthetic of the Gith and the look of the Gith, without the staunch militant posing constantly. Some people may roleplay as a Gith not raised in a creche or a Gith who doesn't keep that militaristic attitude constantly, and this a good help for that aesthetically.
Indeed, my 4th runs was a bard pacifist gith and it annoyed me that she was always in the military pose when in her background she gave up vlaakith. At the time I didn't know about mod but having her doing karlach's idle dance would have been awesome ! I'll dl this mod in case I might be running a gith again.
the gith aesthetic includes the animations :smh: ETA: These comments were not made as genuine shots at the mod but I recognize that over text it is not easy or really always possible to convey tone. Craziest part about this comment, is Kaz is a BG3 modder. You make a habit of talking down on other mods Kaz? Impressive. It really is. I’ve been in a lot of mod sections, including days and weeks of straight modding Skyrim with a thousand mods. You’re a true gem. Good job Kaz. Hope you feel good about it. You know the reason behind mods is to play the game how you want to play it? That would be like going into your section where you make Githyanki a Gith with a subrace and going “bro… just play a githyanki and be happy”. What’s the point? Lmao. Anyway rant over, just crazy coming from a modder themselves
So I just now got made aware of this - These comments were not made as genuine shots at the mod but I recognize that over text it is not easy or really always possible to convey tone. And I would like to directly apologize to the mod's creator - you have done nothing wrong, and I was out of line and I apologize, it doesn't undo what I have done but I am regretful it caused you hurt.
You are number 1 for making this mod. Been waiting for it since launch, because I wanted to play gith but didn't care enough to figure out the animation changes for myself. Happy holidays my friend
yea i just went thru and made 2 new gith,1 female 1 male. female worked fine, male still military pose so looks like its female only. unless one of my other mods is interfering but i dont see how it would. still nice mod if you wanted to play a female gith.

Unless there's some inside joke I'm not aware of here.
