Having done a playthrough from start to halfway through Act 3, it seems the Deep Crabs do way more damage then Chim with Razor Claw which is kind of odd lol. Maybe have a level 9 Sahuagin summon and tune down the Deep Crab damage with Razor Claw.
when i was doing the stats i was kinda going on vibes. Ive been waiting to fix this for after patch 8 but i will note to nerf the deep crab and boost Chim.
how did you get around the instrument crashing issue? did it not trigger for you?
Ive changed the Deep Crab's stats in version 1.0.0.20. This version also has the instruments removed from the chest and treasure tables to see if they are causing the dice roll crashing issues.
Honestly saw this mod and thought "Cleric Of Sekolah" so installed godsextra, Cleric Subclasses for the Blood Domain along with this. Shark God worshipper with water and blood related spells. Though I was getting the crashing so removed this. Will have to try without the instruments.
Using my mod in my own games I have had inconsistent replication of the bug. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it crashes the skills checks sometimes and not others. I was laying through rolling successfully and then it started crashing. I may try to remake just parts from the ground up. 🫠
Hi, I'm having a strange problem with the mod. For clarification i'm playing using the in game mod manager.
So the issue is when i have this Mod enabled anytime I attempt a skill check of any kind that involves the die rolling window the game immediately crashes. I narrowed it down by filtering out every other mod that could have caused it, eventually having a game with just this mod enabled that caused the crash.
Even stranger is that skill checks inside the Tutorial zone work 100% of the time, but as soon as i wake up at the crash site any skill checks, whether its interacting with astarion, lockpicking a chest or a door, or resisting a mindflayer, will cause the game to CTD.
I'd really like to make this mod work for me but I honestly have no clue why this is giving me issues. Any suggestions?
Everything looks fine in the toolkit and I can't figure out what is causing the issue. My in game testing says the clam shell drum when equipped and rolling a die will cause a crash, but i cant find the cause. Try unequipping the instrument if you have it equipped and try the roll again. I'm gonna test all the permutations and see if i can figure out which instruments are causing the issue and i will have to pull those.
Yeah just tested it and they need to be more than just unequipped, they cannot be anywhere on the player character at all. I stowed them in the camp chest and I was able to make checks no problem. Glad i can at least resume progress with the mod while a solution is searched for.
So I came to report the same thing but far worse. If you have either the drum or the lute just in your inventory, rolls stop working and the game crashes. Even if I equip a different instrument to my character, just having the items in my inventory makes it so rolls will not work. My feeling is they must apply some effect upon hitting the inventory.
*Besides these issues I do really like the flavor of this mod and its depth. So please don't stop working on it. Its really good and I look forward to any other ideas you have
I too am having the crashing issue with skill checks. However I tested this mod with a character I have that did not even touch the sea chest in the tutorial chest and, not having any issues before hand, testing a skill check the game still crashed. Disabling this mod everything worked fine. So even without having any interaction with an instrument I still had issues with this mod enabled. Love the mod and would like to use it but this bug is very broken.
The files were being corrupted by a rogue mod I had in my BG3 date folder. Since i figured it out hopefully those errors should disappear. If you can't load the save can you load a save before you installed the earlier version of the mod? If you need the previous version check Vortex for the archive .pak or your recycle bin with the downloaded zip?
Since i figured out what was corrupting the mod files I'm going much faster. I've got several tiered-strength functional Kuo-Toa summons attached to musical shells and some stat boost items too. I've placed them in game treasure tables thematically (I'm not entirely sure what Pooldrip's treasure table is). But i'm still testing it. Might be a while for me to test everything in game.

Method I used
Add Pooldripp as an additional spawn and it'd make for the perfect Kuo-toa cannon fodder, er, army to throw at Ketheric et al
Right now I'm struggling to get the correct .pak generated in the Toolkit and uploaded. I think the Toolkit hates me.
Wait until Nexus starts hating you, too.
