    I really appreciate all the kind and thoughtful comments. It really means a lot to me. Please know that I am mostly skilled at making 3D models and doing textures. I really don't know any programming at all. If it wasn't for others who made other weapon mods this mod would not be here. I used what they did as a template guide to make this mod. So I do appreciate the comments as to what would be cool and your ideas to make this mod better but my modding skills are very limited in this game. Hopefully, things will get easier when the Dev kit comes out.

    Hello, thank you for making the mod.
    I'm leaving a post because there's a problem. Currently, I'm using the Great Sword version mod.

    First, I don't see the Red Dragon Katana in the tutorial box.

    Second, when I bought the Amakuni Katana from Aaron, it changed its appearance to a silver sickle.
    Other Katana types were not sold by Aaron, so I couldn't check the appearance.

    Is the Red Dragon Katana only available in the tutorial box? I don't show up in the tutorial box.
    Also, is there any way to fix the appearance of the Amakuni Katana? (Is there a conflict with other mods that use sickle?)

      Only the files with the Red Dragon in the title have the sword. You would need to download the file with Red Dragon katana in the file name. I did not make a file with a greatsword version of the red dragon katana. I do not have the time to update each and every file with the new sword, I am sorry.

      I am happy that you like my mod. As for the weapon changing its appearance I have no idea why it would do that. I have no idea what mods you are using and to find out if my mod is conflicting with with another one I would have to know all the mods you are using and then look though all the code. Even if I did that I would still have no idea what to look for. If you read my FAQ you will learn I am not a programmer and I have very little knowledge into it. Though what I do know is that I made a very long random number that is used for my weapons ID in the game. The chances of someone else using the same number is crazy high unless someone looked at my weapons ID and did it on purpose which I also highly doubt.

      If I get time I will look at the great sword version and see if the same thing happens in my game. Have you tried a different version to see if it still happens?

      I realized that Red Dragon Katana doesn't have a Great Sword version. Sorry.
      When I used the regular version that included Amakuni Katana and Red Dragon Katana,
      the Red Dragon's appearance worked fine without any problems.
      However, the appearance of Amakuni Katana still shows the shape of a silver sickle. As you said,
      I suspect a conflict with another mode.
      I doubt if the appearance conflicts with another mode that uses the sickle shape like it represents the sickle.

      Among the modes I'm using
      A list of modes that add or modify a type of sickle.

      -soul reaper (class mode)
      -Myrkul's Scythe (weapon mode)


      Other modes related to katana.

      -Orochigago's Homebrew Weapons and Wonders (weapon mode) / Including Katana weapons among many types of weapons

      I think it will be difficult to check whether all modes collide or not because we are currently using a lot of modes.
      Very sad that I couldn't use the Great Sword version of Amakuni Katana.

    Could you make the Red Dragon a great sword? And ideally add both to the Tutorial Chest.

    I'd also have liked if there were screenshots of each katana's tooltip. The text is a lot to read and process.

    I do love this mod though. It's a good balance of fun and not overpowered. Thank you ♥

    Love the katanas but a couple issues
    Can we get an immersive mode? Make a separate file where these katana show up in game but not in tutorial chest to avoid feeling cheaty.
    Spread them out to different vendors in the game according to power/rarity. Right now seeing a legendary in the first grove vendor is weird and also unbuyable anyway unless you cheat.

    Also, it would be amazing if we can have all different types of katanas in one package:

    Shortsword + Light + Non-versatile + Finesse + Rapier UID(for animations) 1d6 
    Longsword + Versatile + Finesse 1d8(10)
    Greatsword + Heavy + Finesse 2d6

    This way you can just have 1 file instead of 10 million files.

    make a gray, green, blue, purple, and legendary versions of each.
    Keep Amakuni and Red Dragon unique that do their own thing

    As it is currently, if I change class to use a greatsword instead, then I would have to uninstall whatever version of katana I have to install the greatsword version each time I play the game and change class. That is not fun :(

    One more thing, using 2 handed for the non-legend katanas have better animations than Amakuni. Not sure what their base weapon are but the lower rarities swing exactly like a katana should, but Amakuni does stabbing animations.

    I would make it myself but I have 0 modding experience.

    I really like your mod. For some reason, Amakuni changed into the shape of a sickle. Is it a MOD conflict?

      I really have no idea why this would happen. It might be if someone used the same ID for the 3D model of the sword. The chance of that happening though is crazy small.

      Thanks for your reply, Amakuni has changed into the shape of a sickle, but the red dragon still looks like katana. I guess I'll just have to use red dragon. I don't know what caused it, I unloaded all my newly installed mods, and load the previous save file, and found that the weapon was still the shape of sickle. This is very strange.

    Is there a way to combine greatsword version with red dragon version to have all 3 weapons together??

      Making a wakizashi is on my to do list. Maybe in the future.

    Hi, love your mod, thanks! :)

    Any chance of getting katana's with a finesse spear as their base tag (like you did with rapier)? I would love to use the katana with polearm master to give the feel of a samurai for my rogue. :)

      Sorry, that would change it to the animation of a spear and that wouldn't work for a sword. I have thought about modeling a naginata though.

    I love this mod, I've used it for multiple playthroughs. I wanted to make a request, though, is there any way you could make a version that uses the Scimitar as the Amakuni and Red Dragon katanas base weapon? Or maybe simply replace the model of Belm, the Very Rare Scimitar from Act 3? The animations for the scimitar are very similar to the fighting style I'd expect a katana-wielding warrior to have. It'd be amazing to take advantage of those animations in my Sword College Bard playthrough. Regardless, thank you so much for the awesome mod!!
