I have now updated the mod to work with patch 7. As the issue preventing the mod from loading/being enabled was an edited UUID in the mod's meta data, the new version will be recognized as a new mod despite being exactly the same. This means you will need to manually delete any previous versions of this mod you currently have installed. When loading a save that had a previous version of this mod installed, a warning may pop up stating that it requires it to load. You can safely ignore this and the save should still load. Despite this, any dyes you had in your inventory should remain.
Unfortunately I couldn't use the new tool editor to update the mod, so you will still have to install either manually or via your chosen mod manager. I would have liked to have updated and published it that way, but I was encountering too many issues that had little to no solutions to be found, and I didn't want to keep you guys waiting, especially if you are waiting on this mod to continue your playthroughs. I will attempt to look into solving the issues I had with the editor, but for now at least you will have a working version of the mod which is better than none.
Apologies for the delay in getting this out, and as always please let me know if there are any issues and I'll do my best to get them sorted. Thanks, and enjoy patch 7!
Hey everyone, glad to see you've all been enjoying these dyes! I've now updated the mod to include containers so your inventory/vendors will no longer be bloated. I've also added 4 more dyes, one of which is a pure black dye. This includes metal armor parts being dyed black too. These will likely be the last dyes I'm adding as I won't be working on this mod anymore other than to keep it working. Please let me know if you experience any issues, and I'll do my best to get it sorted.
Some issues I've noticed people having
Mod Fixer: Myself and some people have had issues with the mod fixer in the past not working with this and other mods. I'm not sure what would cause these issues, and when I experienced them, removing the mod fixer made my other mods work again. However, I'm now using mod fixer without any issues again so if you experience these issues, try enabling/disabling your mod fixer. Mod Fixer is no longer required after patch 7. Certain armors being undyeable: There are some armors in the game (I.E. Ketheric's Armor) which you can apply dye to, but it doesn't actually dye it. This dye mod works the same as regular dyes, so if the game's base dyes don't work on an item, these dyes won't either. I don't know enough about modding to solve this either sadly, so unless someone else makes a mod to make those armors dyeable and/or Larian updates those pieces to work with dyes, there's nothing I can do.
Dyeing modded armor: If the game's base dyes work on a modded piece of equipment, then theoretically these dyes should work too. However I don't know enough about the internal workings of the game's equipment or modded equipment, so I can't say for certain what should/shouldn't happen when using these dyes with modded armor.
'X' dye made entire 'Y' armor piece one colour: The way dyes work in this game is with a primary, secondary, and tertiary colour system. There is a primary, secondary, and tertiary channel for each material in a piece of armor (metal, leather, and cloth). Sometimes these pieces of armor use the primary and tertiary, but skip the secondary and vice versa. If the primary and tertiary colour are the same, and the secondary channel isn't used, this means the secondary colour won't be applied to the equipment, thus making it all one colour. Since this mod has multiple dye schemes with the same colours (I.E. Ruby-Trimmed Ebony and Crimson Shadow), try mixing and matching them to get your desired results.
Mod load order: This mod shouldn't need to be placed in any specific order, just make sure it's not above any mods that state they need to be placed first.
With that said, I hope you all enjoy this mod, and again, please let me know if there are any issues!

EDIT(18 October 2024, 1:53PM): Woo, just updated my game to Hotfix#28 today (Steam), and everything is still working hella fine. Didn't even have to reinstall anything, hella nice Larian♥.
Welp, after purging all previous game files and all my mods' files, then reinstalling a fresh newly updated to Patch 7 game (Steam), and then reinstalling all my mods (some were updated for Patch 7; others were confirmed still working with Patch 7; a few I am still currently testing for Patch 7 compatibility), this mod "Demon's Simple Dyes" seems to not be capable of Enabling, via the In-game Mod Manager (added by Larian), nor via BG3 Mod Manager.
Hi, I have found the cause of this issue, it's because when I first made the mod I edited the UUID in the meta file to include my username. After patch 7 it seems any UUID that has been edited this way will prevent the mod from being enabled. There are a couple other mods I use that have the same issue. While I have solved that issue, I am still struggling to find my way around the new toolkit which is why it's taking longer to get the mod out for patch 7.
I'm sure this has already been said but the mod isn't compatible with patch 7. If you have a save file using this mod you can't access it until it's updated. Would really appreciate it if we could get one soon
@OldBoyDemon No rush, fam. Patch 7 apparently made a lot of changes to the game, and affected a lot of mods (which most still need updating, lol). Take your time, it's all good! :)
