Hello, when I add the mod to vortex it doesn't appear to me as active in the game and it disables all my other mods. Even disabling all other mods and leaving only this one, it still doesn't work. Do you know what it could be?
Hi, First I’d like to say I love the mod, really scratched that itch.
Second, a couple questions - is the talent that increases your shock and spell damage by 2d8 bugged or do I just have awful luck with rolls? Also, does elemental adept work for the lighting spells?
Really glad you're enjoying the mod, always good to hear. About your questions: Concussion only applies to certain spells included with the mod, not spells from the base game. When it works, you should see extra damage numbers pop up on hit, and you can double-check the combat log to confirm. If that’s not happening, it could be due to a conflict with another mod. Let me know if that might be the case Elemental Adept should work with lightning spells, since they’re tagged as both “lightning” and “spell.” If it’s not triggering, let me know which spell you're using and I’ll take a closer look.
Thanks for the clarification. I checked the log and both are working correctly. I probably should have looked there first but I forget it exists sometimes.
Getting chain lightning crits sparks great joy. Really phenomenal job nailing the play styles of the specs.
Hi im really enjoying your mod but i just switched to elemental and at lvl 4 im just wondering if i should have chain lighting or just 3 cantrips and healing surge and lighting bolt. What level should i expect chain lighting to appear? Also how do i change the casting modifer to wisdom?
ok cool thankyou, what about chainlighting not showing up on my hotbar. I dont have any UI mods installed, also enhancement and resto has no issues with abilities showing up just chain lighting for elemental
I’ve been careful with Lightning Bolt’s damage because of its synergies. Most enemies in Baldur’s Gate 3 don’t have resistances to lightning damage, and you can also use water to make them take double damage. As you progress in Shaman levels, more synergies open up that boost Lightning Bolt, like being able to free-cast it on a critical hit. If it still feels a bit underwhelming, just let me know, and I can tweak it to make it more impactful!
I really want to implement a Windfury Enhancement spell one day. I haven’t been able to get it working with my current skills, but hopefully, I’ll be able to make it happen sometime in the future!
qanteras, Hi! Shaman main here since classic. Do you have any success with introduce totems ? I suppose you just can make Summon spell, with 0 movement resource, which will just cast spells. You just need models for totems
Always great to hear from a fellow Shaman main 😊 I’ve actually tried to implement totems before, but it turned out to be too buggy, and I don’t currently have the resources to create the necessary models for them. So for now, I’ve shelved the idea. That said, I’d love to revisit and add them one day if I can find the time to make it work properly!
Just curious on the mod, for the stats on this class what would you recommend as for the main stats? I saw you had one where the main stat was wisdom. but when i load up the game with the mod it wants to focus Dex at the main stat with the little star next to it? just wasn't sure if that was normal or not. Thank again and this mod is awesome!!! =)
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you're enjoying the mod. 😊 For Enhancement, the main stat is Dexterity—this is because weapon enchantments allow your weapons to scale with Dex. Depending on which version of the mod you downloaded, your spellcasting modifier will be either Intellect or Wisdom. For Restoration and Elemental, you’ll want to focus on your spellcasting stat—so either Intellect or Wisdom, again depending on your version.
You can cast Healing Surge and Lightning Bolt using a bonus action, and Chain Lightning and Lava Burst using an action—provided you have 5 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon.

You get Chain Lightning at level 7.
